This is an atmospheric original etching and aquatint in color by Tavik Frantisek Simon, titled "Boulevard Saint Martin in Winter". The image size is 12 1/4 x 14 1/2 inches, published in 1914, pencil signed, with a blindstamp lower left. T. F. Simon was born in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts.
This incredible image by the British etcher, Arthur Briscoe, measures 8 1/8 x 15 3/8 inches, inked signed and numbered, 73/75, created in 1931. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them.

This beautiful color etching by Elyse Ashe Lord measures 11 1/8 x 9 3/4 inches and is pencil signed and numbered. French matted and framed. Elyse Lord lived her entire life in Britain and although her work shows a strong Asian influence, she never actually traveled the continent. Her inspiration instead came from Chinese literature, artwork and her own imagination. Her unique style uses fine drypoint lines and delicate, yet vibrant colors to create images that that have a serene, almost dreamlike quality.

A fine original etching by an important French artist, this image measures 6 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches, published in 1912 in a small edition of 35, pencil signed and numbered. Auguste-Louis Lepere was one of the leading French printmakers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He began studying printmaking at the age of 13 with Joseph Burn Smeeton in Paris and quickly made a name for himself with his innovative style and technically brilliant etchings and wood engravings.
