Woman Feeding Her Child

This is a beautiful, intimate etching by the renowned French Barbizon artist Jean Francois Millet (1814-1875). The image size is 6 x 5 1/8 inches, plate size 7 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches, state V of VI, cat: Delteill- 17, plate signed and dated. This etching, based on the painting of the same name, was created by Millet for the 'Gazette des Beaux-Arts' in 1861. This is a very richly inked inked impression, printed on a medium weight laid type paper with ample margins.

Rough Going

An evocative image of WWI by American artist Harold Kerr Eby, this etching with drypoint measures 8 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches, pencil signed in an edition of 60, second published state, 1919, Giardina cat: 29. Eby's WWI experiences in France lead to this richly inked image of infantry marching through the results of war.

Etching, image size 7 7/8 x 9 1/4 inches, c. 1940, pencil signed. A rich impression printed on a medium weight wove type paper with ample margins.

Wandle

Etching, image size: 5 5/8 x 8 1/2 inches, 1881, inscribed in plate "English Etchings Part XVIII" lower right, titled and dated in the plate lower left, blind stamp lower left.
