This original etching by John Winkler measures 3 3/4 x 5 5/8 inches and is pencil signed on the lower margin. Winkler was originally from Austria coming to America at age 16 looking for adventure. After various jobs he impulsively enrolled in the San Francisco Art Institute and soon discovered his talent as an etcher. He became good friends with John Taylor Arms as well as Arthur Heintzelman. His works are found in major museums throughout the US and Europe.
This 1886 etching by Lucien Dautrey measures 9 1/2 x 13 1/4 inches. It is plate initialed and pencil signed on the l.r. Dautrey was a distinguished pupil of Courtry and Felix Bracquemond and a member of the Society of French Artists.

An early etching by Gene Kloss, this is a very richly inked scene of boats moored on the quiet harbor waters of San Francisco Bay. The image size is 9 x 10 inches, published in 1935 in a small edition of 75, pencil signed, titled and numbered. Gene Kloss was born in California as Alice Geneva Glasier, changing her name when she married the poet, Phillip Kloss in 1925. On their honeymoon, the Kloss's traveled to and fell in love with Taos, New Mexico.
A vibrant scene of a bustling Prague street, this etching and aquatint in colors measures 13 3/4 x 16 1/4 inches, published in 1910 in an edition of 200, cat: Novak-124, pencil signed with the artist's stamp in red ink in the lower margin. T. F. Simon was born in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts.

This Sears Gallagher etching measures 13 x 6 inches and is pencil signed on the lower left margin. A ghostly image of the Boston Custom House Tower looms in the background contrasting with a much more detailed foreground of city dwellers going about their daily routine.

A rare original etching by the American artist, Isabel Bishop, measuring 4 x 3 inches, pencil signed, 1927, proofs only, printed by the artist, cat: Teller-4. Bishop was one of the original Fourteenth Street School of Artists and was known for her depictions of urban life in NYC.
