This is a fine drypoint etching by American artist Sears Gallagher.  The image of Farmers Haying has an image size of 7X8 7/8 inches.  This image is hand signed in pencil, done circa 1930, printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.

A beautiful atmospheric etching by Samuel Margolies measuring 8 1/8 x 9 3/4 inches, pencil signed, AAA label included, c. 1935. Margolies trained at the National Academy of Design and the Beaux Arts Institute. From 1935 until 1939 Margolies participated in the Works Progress Administration program as a printmaker. His work is in the Society of American Etchers and the Library of Congress in Washington D.C.

Aphrodite

Etching, image size 9 3/8 x 5 3/8 inches, pencil signed and titled. Hobbs was a well known artist from Ohio who studied art at the Art Institute of Chicago. He traveled extensively through Europe and the US before settling in New Orleans. He won many awards and honors for his work, and spent two summers as a resident at the MacDowell Art Colony in Peterborough, NH.

This is a scarce original wood engraving by American Modernist Leonard Baskin.  The title is: Three Women Before a Plain, created and printed in 1952.  The image, pencil signed, measures 3 1/2X4 1/2 inches on a sheet size of 17X17 inches, printed on a thin japan type sheet,  The image appears in the Fern O'Sullivan catalog as image number 214.

Lithograph, image size 12 3/4 x 19 3/4 inches. Signed, titled and inscribed "To Edna-with Love, Renee & Chaim Gross 72" l.r., numbered "9/10" l.l. One of the first generations of direct carvers, Gross came to the US in 1921 and worked for the WPA in the late 1930's. He was an illustrator, sculptor and instructor teaching at the Education Alliance School in NYC.
