This 1933 lithograph by the American artist, Wilfred Readio measures 7 7/8 x 10 7/8 inches. Plate signed, pencil titled and numbered. Readio was a painter, lithographer and educator, known for his scenes of Pittsburgh, PA. and the American West. He was also the Academic Drawing teacher at the Carnegie Institute of the Arts, Andy Warhol being one of his students.
This Hopper Emory etching measures 7 7/8 x 11 3/4 inches, is pencil signed and titled. Emory was born in Baltimore, Maryland and had a successful career in banking before he turned exclusively to his artwork. He traveled to England where he studied at the Heatherly School of Art in London, then returned to Maryland where he became known for his delicately rendered architectural and maritime etchings.
Plate signed and titled, pencil signed in the lower right with "imp" indicating that the artist printed it herself. Plate measures 5 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches on 11 x 7 inch laid type paper. A lovely print of a catholic church in France.
