This is a fine original drypoint etching by American artist Frank Benson.  The title is: Ducks at Play, created and printed in  1923 in an edition of 150 proofs.  This pencil signed etching has an image area of 10 7/8X13 3/4 iinches.  Printed on a Japanese Vellum, this image appears in the Ordeman catalog as image number 217.  One of his largest etchings.

This is a fine original pencil signed etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The subject is: Athens from the Tomb of Philopotes,  it was created and printed in 1913, printed by the artist with his "imp" after his name in the lower border.   The image measures 10 3/8X18 1/2 inches.  This image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 656 and was printed in an edition of 40.  This etching was originally sold by Frederick Keppel in New York.  Original label included.

This is a fine expressive drypoint etching by British artist Sir William Russell Flint.  The title is: Clatter and Whirl, Granada, it was created and printed in 1931 in an edition of 75.  This image is hand signed, with sepia ink, numbered as XV and inscribed as using An antique laid type sheet from 1744, "D.R."  The image measures 8 1/4X13 7/8 inches, printed with a brown toned ink, a very rich impression.

This is a fine original etching by British artist James McBey.  This subject is The Sussex, it was created and printed in 1916.  On March 24, 1916 a German Submarine attacked the French passenger steamer called The Sussex which was then beached with the Bow blown off.  The procession showing the removing of the more than 50 people killed in the attack.  The image measures 8 3/16X15 1/8 inches.  Hand signed in sepia ink from an edition of 76.  Illustrated in Lumsden, The Art of Etching..This impression has the number I.  Printed on a laid "whatman" watermarked sheet.

This is an original etching by American artist James McNeill Whistler.  The subject is: The Little Putney Bridge, created in 1879.  This impression printed on an antique laid type sheet measures 5 1/4X8 inches.  This impression is the 4th state of 5 according to the Glasgow catalog image number K179.  This impression shows the soft foul biting in the plate mostly in the water.  Nice use of plate tone, a rich impression.  "The bridge over the River Thames linking Putney on the south side with Fulham to the north, in London, UK. The timber bridge was built by a master carpenter, Thomas Phillips, to a design by the architect Sir Jacob Ackworth, and opened in 1729. It was a toll bridge, with tollbooths at either end. It was damaged by a river barge in 1870, and although repaired, it was eventually demolished and replaced by the present stone bridge in 1886. It may be that Whistler thought it worth recording the old bridge before it was demolished,"

This is a fine very large hand colored engraving  by Charles Mottram after J. W. Hill. Published by Smith Brothers & Co., New York, in 1857, It is one of the loveliest views of Boston and its harbor, with the statehouse dome rising in the center background and the Bunker Hill Monument at far right. Printed by Mc Queen.  The image measures 24X38 1/2 inches, in an early frame which measures 35X47 inches.  It is inscribed as proof lower left border.  Very nice condition this impression is a period printing, not a late restrike.
