Pencil signed in the lower right, "private proof" in the lower left. Plate measures 9 1/4 x 12 3/4 inches on 12 3/4 x 16 inch laid-type paper. C. 1930. This is a rare print and a rare subject for Kuhler, who is famous for his prints of trains and the industrial revolution.

The Pessimist

Etching and aquatint from 1952. Pencil signed and dated in the lower right: "William Brueske '52". Plate signed in the lower left. Pencil titled in the lower left. Print 4 in an edition of 9. Plate measures 7 7/8 x 6 inches on 10 5/8 x 6 7/8 inch laid type paper. This print has a jarring, abstract composition of negative imagery and details that are hidden at first glance.

Reverie

Pencil signed in the lower right and dated "June 15th, 1932." "Trial print" in the lower left. Plate measures 6 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches on 10 x 11 1/2 inch thin wove type paper. The artist has truly captured the grace of the female body in this etching with lines that are precise, yet soft. The print has an interesting composition that blends the figure's hair into a whirlpool, giving the print a dream-like quality.

Twin Brooks

Pencil signed, titled, and dated "1943". Edition of 60. Catalog: BPL 363. Plate measures 6 x 10 inches on 9 x 12 inch wove type paper. This print has lovely contrast and exquisite detail, displaying his incredible skill with the smallest of lines: observe the tiny crosshatching in the shadows on the far left of the house.

Little Franklin

Etching and sandpaper ground. C. 1937. Trial proof. Pencil signed "Kerr Eby imp", the "imp" indicating that Eby printed this impression himself. Plate measures 8 1/2 x 14 1/2 inches on 11 x 17 3/4 inch wove type paper. This print is a lovely atmospheric impression with skillful platetone and intricate linework in the waves.

Old Timer

Pencil titled and signed. Plate measures 9 7/8 x 8 inches on 13 x 11 inch wove type paper. This is a majestic portrait, giving the dog a dignified, stately manner.
