A linoleum engraving by Leonard Baskin of King David. It measures 2 1/2 x 3 inches and is printed on a 17 x 17 1/2 inch sheet of medium weight paper. Published in 1952, it is listed in the Fern and O'Sullivan catalogue as #175.
This woodcut by Leonard Baskin measures 2 x 3 inches and was published in 1949. This image is not shown in the Fern and O'Sullivan catalogue but we think it is listed as #35. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Baskin began his career as a printmaker in the late 1940s, beginning with simple linocuts, but quickly progressing to dramatic wood engravings, then later etchings and lithographs.

Etching measures 3 x 1 7/8 inches on 6 1/4 x 5 1/4 inch Rives watermarked wove type paper. Pencil signed in the lower right, pencil editioned 2/50 in the lower left.
