A very fine original hand colored etching by British artist Elyse Ashe Lord, this image measures 15 7/8 x 13 3/8 inches, c. 1940s, edition of 75, pencil signed, numbered and titled. Elyse Lord lived her entire life in Britain and although her work shows a strong Asian influence, she never actually traveled the continent. Her inspiration instead came from Chinese literature, artwork and her own imagination. Her unique style uses fine drypoint lines and delicate, yet vibrant colors to create images that that have a serene, almost dreamlike quality.

Color Abstract

This is a very fine original color lithograph, pencil signed, dated, and inscribed 'epreuve d'artiste' (artist's proof). The image size is 12 x 21 1/4 inches, 1979, with a stamp from the "Ministerio de Cultura Y Educacion" of Spain on the back of the sheet. This is a very cool, abstract composition with vibrant colors by the French cubist artist.
