This wood engraving by John Buckland Wright measures 5 1/4 x 7 inches, published in 1917 in an edition of 30. It is pencil signed, dated and numbered on the lower margin. Wright help to found "Atelier 17" in Paris, an experimental workshop for the graphic arts in 1927.

This 6 3/4 x 9 inches color etching is printed on thin Japan paper, edition of 100. Pencil signed and editioned. Provenance Arthur Ackerman & Son Inc., New York. Framed in original handpainted Asian frame.

This etching by Louise Ibels measures 10 1/8 x 7 inches. Created in 1964, it is plate titled and dated on the lower left and pencil signed on the lower right. This artists proof is done on a heavy weight paper with wide margins.

Original etching by the British artist, Arthur Brisco, measuring 6 1/2 x 10 7/8 inches, 1926, signed and numbered; 62/75, cat: Hurst-158. Britain's "General Strike" was the theme of Brisco's dramatic image of "The Orator". The strike, mainly by coal-miners upset with their goverments' reduction in wages and worsening conditions, also included dockers, printers, power station workers and transport workers, thus Brisco's interest in the subject.

Mezzotint by the British artist Sir Frank Short, measuring 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 inches, pencil signed, after J.M.W. Turner, etched and engraved by the artist, 1896, intended for the Liber Studiorum but never published.

This etching by the Czech artist, Tavik F. Simon, measures 7 3/4 x 4 5/8 inches, pencil signed, 1914, cat: Novak-229, in an edition of 150. Simon studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts. He was an exceptional painter and printmaker, and is best known for his atmospheric color etchings and aquatints.
