The Fris, Hamstead Heath

This is an original pencil signed aquatint etching by American artist John Wesley Cotton (1868-1931) The title of this work is "The Fris, Hamstead Heath", circa 1920 this etching has an image size of 14 14X11 3/8 inches, this etching came to us framed and has an early gallery label on the back from Campbell Prints in New York. The condition is good, the image looks darker in our photo due to shooting through the glass.

Going Fishing

This is an original etching, hand signed in pencil and dedicated in the artists hand, but who the artist is remains a mystery. It looks very similar to the work of Southern artist Alfred Hutty. It shows a black man going fishing, walking along the edge of a stream. The image measures 4X6 inches, printed on a medium weight wove type paper. We estimate this work to be circa 1930. Over all very nice condition.

The Lobster Fisherman

This is an original etching by American modernist artist John Marin (1870-1953) The title of this work is "The Lobster Fisherman". It was created and printed in 1948. This is a rare pencil signed early proof. The image measures 8 3/4X7 inches. This etching was later reprinted in a large unsigned edition. Nice use of plate tone in the sky and sea.

Chad's Place

This is an original pencil signed etching by American Artist Sam Thal. The title of this work is ""Chad's Place", it was created circa 1945 and sold through Associated American Artists in New York. The image measures 8 3/4X11 3/4 inches.

Nude Sketches

This is an original etching by American Artist John Sloan. This etching is titled in the catalog as "Nude Sketches", it was created and printed in 1917. The etching is pencil signed, editioned as 100 proofs and also has a drawing in pencil in the lower left of a models feet. This is a rare, unique proof of this etching. The image measures
3 1/4X6 1/2 inches, the sheet size is: 9 1/2X12 1/2 inches. This image appears as number 187 of the Morse catalog.

Wall Street, N.Y.C.

This is an original etching by American artist Gottlob L. Briem (1899-1972)) The title of this work is :Wall Street, N.Y.C." It was created and printed in 1930 in an edition of 100. The image mesres 13 15/16X8 15/16 inches. It is hand signed in pencil lower right.

This is a very fine original etching by American artist Kerr Eby. The title of this work is "The Cattle Ford", it was created and printed in 1945 in an edition of 100.
The image measures 8 15/16X13 1/2 inches. It is printed on a medium weight wove type paper. It is hand signed in pencil and has the "imp" inscription after his name to show that he personally printed this impression. The scene is most likely near Eby's home in Westport, Connecticut. This is an original hand signed etching by American artist Kerr Eby. The title of this work is: "The Cow Shed". It was created and printed in 1946, one of his last prints. Most likely a scene in Connecticut. The image measures 9 5/8X15 1/8 inches. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper. Ebay used the "imp" after his name to show that he personally printed this impression. Extensive use of plate tone throughout the sky and snow. It was printed in an edition of 100. This image appears in the Giardina catalog as image number 211.
