Orchard

"Orchard" by Edith Penman measures 6 3/4 x 6 7/8 inches. Created in 1890 in an edition of ~60 on japan vellum in brown ink with wide, full margins. Printed by the artist and published by Christian Klackner. Pencil signed on the lower right with publisher's address in the plate.

Fishing Village

Etching, image size: 8 3/4 x 13 inches, inscribed "Copyright 1896 by E. Rost N.Y." along the upper left. Framed. Ernest Rost was the son of Christian Rost who also worked as an etcher and engraver.

Portrait of Old Woman

This 1925 etching of an old woman by the Austrian artist Arthur Paunzer measures 5 7/8 x 4 1/2 inches, plate dated and pencil signed. Paunzer studied at the Academie Julien in Paris and traveled to Italy where he studied art and architecture. His works are included in the Albertina Museum, Vienna, the British Museum, London, Princeton University Library and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
