20th Century American Prints

Etching, image size 6 7/8 x 9 3/4 inches, c. 1915, unsigned, estate stamped on reverse, titled in pencil, possibly in the artist's hand. Kuehne was an American artist who studied in NYC before traveling extensively throughout Europe. After returning to the U.S. he became friends and colleagues with Edward Hopper, William Glackens and Charles Prendergast. From 1914-1917, Kuehne lived and worked in Spain creating many landscapes and architectural scenes, including this view of a fishing port.

This is an original lithograph by American artist Benjamin Kopman,  The title is Mother and Children, created and printed in 1964.  This lithograph is hand signed and titled in pencil lower border.  The image measures 13X10 1/2 inches.

Framed 5 x 7 inch etching in a 12 3/4 x 14 3/4 black frame. Pencil signed in the lower right by C. Dessar. Provenance Julius G. Haas, New York, N.Y.

This etching by Hopper Emory measures 6 1/8 x 9 3/4 inches. Emory was born in Baltimore, Maryland and had a successful career in banking before he turned exclusively to his artwork. He traveled to England where he studied at the Heatherly School of Art in London, then returned to Maryland where he became known for his delicately rendered architectural and maritime etchings.

Lithograph, image size 11 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches, 1941, pencil signed and titled, "Benjamin Kopman '41" l.r. and "old nurse" l.l., plate initialed l.l., worked as a WPA artist.

ETCHING, image size: 5 X 7 5/8 inches,pencil signed

Plate signed and titled, pencil signed in the lower right with "imp" indicating that the artist printed it herself. Plate measures 5 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches on 11 x 7 inch laid type paper. A lovely print of a catholic church in France.

This is an original etching by H. Luthermann.  It is titled: "Chinese Junks", pencil signed and titled in the lower border.

The image measures 5 1/4X4 inches, printed on a wove type paper, circa 1920.

This light filled lithograph by Wilfred Readio measures 11 3/4 x 14 1/2 inches and is plate signed, pencil signed, numbered and stated. Readio was a painter, lithographer and educator, known for his scenes of Pittsburgh, PA. and the American West. He was also the Academic Drawing teacher at the Carnegie Institute of the Arts, Andy Warhol being one of his students.

This is a hand signed etching by American artist Ernest Haskell.  This view of trees at the side of a field has an image size of 3X5 1/2 inches.
