20th Century European Prints

This view of Burano, Italy by Fabio Mauroner measures 8 7/8 x 11 3/4 inches, published in 1929 in an edition of 100, is pencil signed, titled and numbered.

This is an original etching by French artist Jacques Beurdeley.  The title of this work is: "La Route de Bray a/Seine", created circa 1920s, this image is pencil signed, editioned as 55/60 and titled in the lower border.  The image measures 7 3/4X10 1/2 inches, printed on a medium weight laid type paper.

Pencil signed in the lower right, artist's stamp in red ink in the lower left. Pencil numbered 81 in an edition of 140. Catalog: Novak 185. Plate measures 10 x 7 1/4 on 14 3/4 x 11 7/8 inch watermarked wove paper. Plate monogrammed in the upper right. T. F. Simon was born in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts. Simon was an exceptional painter and printmaker, and is best known for his atmospheric color etchings and aquatints.

This etching by the artist, Oliver Hall, measures 8 1/2 x 11 3/4 inches and is pencil signed and editioned.

This etching is plate initialed in the lower left. Plate measures 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches in a 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 inch black frame from Kennedy & Co, label on back. A well inked impression with plate toning.
Sir David Cameron was considered one of the greatest British etchers of the early 20th century. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland and began studying art at the Glasgow Art School before moving on to the Edinburgh School of Art. He was a member of the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers, the Royal Society of Painters in Water-Colours, and the Royal Scottish Academy. He was eventually knighted for his contribution to British art.

Drypoint etching from 1912. Plate measures 7 3/4 x 15 3/4 inches on 9 x 17 inch paper. Pencil signed and dated in the lower right with the word "imp," indicating that the artist printed it themselves. Plate signed in the lower left. 3rd State. An atmospheric print with good use of plate toning.

Pencil signed and numbered 19/100. Plate measures 19 x 13 3/4 inches on 23 1/2 x 17 3/4 inch medium weight wove type paper. An enchanting print with a rich drypoint burr.

Mezzotint, image size 6 7/8 x 10 inches, blind stamp lower left, pencil signed and titled

This is an original pencil signed,initialed? etching, European school 20th century.  We are unable to read the name in the lower left border.  The image is printed on a van gelder watermarked laid paper.  The piece is dated 1935 and shows a man and boy in a wooden overlook of their town.  The image measures 10X15 1/2 inches.  Very fine condition.
