Arnold Blanch was born in Minnesota and received his schooling from the Minneapolis School of the Art Students' League under Kenneth Hayes Miller, John Sloan, and Robert Henri. Blanch is a member of the American Society of Painters, Sculptors, and Gravers, a Director of the Salons of America, and a Director of the Woodstock Art Association. He has received the Harris Medal from the Art Institute of Chicago, the Bremer Prize, the Purchase Prize, and the Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship in Painting.
