Lovely and endearing is this Diana Thorne lithograph of three terriers waiting patiently for their reward. It measures 10 3/4 x 16 inches, pencil signed and plate titled, framed. Thorne was born in Russia but move to Canada at an early age, living on various farms where her love of all animals began. Thorne was known for her ability to show motion in her dog images by her use of solid lines and light and dark tones. She was a member of several prestigious print societies and clubs, including the Chicago Society of Etchers, National Association of Women Artists, Royal Society of Painters and Sculptors, Boston Arts Club, Philadelphia Art Alliance, and the California Print Makers.
