Original woodblock print. Pencil signed in the lower right and dated 1934. Martin studied with Robert Henri at the ASL. He has exhibited in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 1918 (solo); Calif. Art Club, 1919; Brooklyn Society of Min. Painters; Brooklyn Museum, 1933; NY World's Fair, 1939. His woodblock prints are quite rare..
This etching by Anton Schutz measures 9 7/8 x 13 3/4 inches. It is pencil signed and numbered. Schutz was born in Germany and emigrated to the US in 1924 before Hitler came into power. A well-known artist in Germany, especially Munich, he started over again and enrolled in the Art Student's League in NY, working with Joseph Pennel. He became known for his portrayal of large cities along the eastern seaboard, capturing the enormity of the buildings along with the spirit of the American people.

Engraving by Fabio Berardi, after Giuseppe Zais. The italian inscription at the bottom reads "there is no lack of escort to the wise traveler." Print measures 8 3/4 x 13 inches on 9 1/2 x 13 7/8 inch laid type paper.
This Sears Gallagher etching measures 13 x 6 inches and is pencil signed on the lower left margin. A ghostly image of the Boston Custom House Tower looms in the background contrasting with a much more detailed foreground of city dwellers going about their daily routine.
