This is a fine original wood engraving by American artist Stefan Hirsch (1899-1964)  The title is Snake, created and printed in 1931, the image measures 4X6 inches, on a sheet size of 9 1/2X11 1/2 inches,  pencil signed and numbered as 5/30.  A rare image, only one example is in the collection of the Whitney Museum.

This is a fine wood engraving by Boston printmaker, Shirley Thomson Hadley (1917-) Hadley was the President of the Boson Printmakers Club.  This image titled Old Marblehead was created and printed in 1949 and was given as the 1949 presentation print of the BPC.  This woodengraving is pencil signed, titled and numbered as 18/300.  The image measures 9X7 inches, printed on a hand made wove type paper.

This is an original pencil signed woodengraving by American artist Asa Cheffetz.  The subject is: Winter in Southampton, Mass, created and printed in 1949.  The image measures 4 13/16X10 inches.  This image appears in the Cheffetz catalog as image number 88.  This image was created for Associated American Artists in New York.

Pencil signed in the lower right. An inscription in the lower left of the paper reads "Wine Shop at Royalbourne," a possible title. Plate size measures 10 7/8 x 8 7/8 inches on 16 3/4 x 12 1/4 inch medium-weight wove-type paper.

THis is an early etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is: La Porte du Fermier, ( Farmer's Doorway, it was created and printed in 1920 in an edition of 75.  The image measures 6X4 inches, hand signed in pencil.  This image appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 84.

This is a drypoint etching from 1925. Alternatively titled "Harbor Scene." Catalog: Giardina 103. Pencil signed in the lower right with the word "imp," indicating that the artist printed it himself. Very rare, unpublished 2nd state. Plate measures 7 x 10 1/8 inches on 10 1/8 x 14 inch wove paper. The setting is likely in Cornwall, where Eby visited in 1924 and 1925. A well inked impression with plate toning. Kerr Eby was a remarkable printmaker and a member of the Cos Cob Art Colony and friends with many of the important artists of the day, including Childe Hassam and John Taylor Arms. Eby was known for his atmospheric renderings of the New England landscape as well as his dramatic images of WWI.

THis is a fine original lithograph by Chicago artist Helen Noel.  This pencil signed impression showing a group waiting for the subway was created and printed circa 1940's.  The image measures 9X11 inches, some minor spots of rust, unobtrusive.

This is a drypoint etching from February 1931. Edition of 100. Catalog: BPL 104. Pencil signed in the lower right, pencil numbered 35 out of 100 in the lower left. Plate measures 14 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches on 16 1/2 x 11 1/2 inch Rives watermarked wove paper. A well inked, exquisitely detailed etching. Samuel Chamberlain studied architecture at MIT, but interrupted his studies to serve in France during WWI. After the war, Chamberlain worked as an architectural draftsman in Boston before leaving the US to travel throughout France and Europe. During his time overseas, Chamberlain began sketching the countryside and architecture, eventually studying at the Royal College of Art in London. He became well known for his carefully rendered etchings and drypoints of both European and American buildings and cityscapes.

This is an original color etching by American artist Dorsey Potter Tyson.  The title is Siamese Dancers, created and printed in 1928 in an edition of 100.  This impression is numbered as XXVIII.  It is also hand signed in pencil. The image measures 8X9 7/8 inches.  It came to us in the original frame from Casson Galleries in Boston.
