For example, through the use of satire he portrayed the king as a money eating "Gargantua" which landed him in jail for six months. He was referred to as the "Michelangelo of caricature" by his fellow artists creating over 500 paintings and 1000 drawings in his lifetime.

This is an original lithograph by Honore Daumier, created and printed in 1865, the title is Allons bon c'est encore mon chien, taken from Croquis d'Automne.  The image mesures 11 X8 1/2 inches, this lithograph is framed.  Some of the text from the verso can be seen through the sheet but overall this is in very fine condition.
