This original lithograph by Jean-Louis Forain measures 10 x 12 inches on a sheet size of 19 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches. Created c. 1898 in probably a small but unknown edition. Cat: Johnson 48.4. Forain was an important French Impressionist painter, lithographer and etcher. Friends with Degas for over 50 years and heavily influenced by Daumier, he enjoyed depicting scenes of everyday life in the city of Paris. This print was intended for a portfolio to have been published by Ambroise Vollard. Forain was a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

Plate size 10 x 12 1/2 inches on 14 1/4 x 17 3/4 inch heavy weight wove type paper. Pencil signed in the lower right. Kurt Meyer-Eberhardt is one of the most famous and revered 20th century dog artists. Drawing dogs was his true passion, as is apparent in this soulful portrait of three terriers.

This color wood engraving by the German artist Werner Jacob Korsmeier measures 16 1/2 x 11 5/8 inches, pencil signed, dated, titled in German and numbered 25/50. Created in 1985 with an annotation by the artist on the top margin, "For my dear Dorothy, Werner", publishers blindstamp on lower margin, label on backing with artist provenance.

This is an original etching of Russian Peasants, circa 1920.  It is initialed in the plate and signed in sepia ink in the lower right corner of the sheet.  The image measures 8 3/4X11 1/4 inches, printed on a heavy weight wove type paper.  We do not know who this artist is even though it has a clear signature.
