This is a very fine impression of the well known Whistler etching, "The Rag Gatherers", created and printed in 1857, this etching is plate signed, on the right side of the image. The image measures 6X3 1/2 inches. It is the fifth state of 5 with the edition of the two children in the interior space. This etching came to us framed with the Kennedy Galleries label on the back. Excellent condition, apparently printed on an antique laid type paper.

This is an original etching, and aquatint by French master Georges Rouault. The title of this work is "Chantez Matines,le jour renait"< (Sing Matins, a new day is born) This etching was created in 1922 as part of the Miserere series. This is plate number 29. It was published by Vollard in an edition of 450. It is signed lower left corner of the image. This etching was never pencil signed. It appears in the C& R catalog as number 82d., The image measures 20 X 14 5/8 inches. Nice condition, a line of toning in the border from an earlier window mat.

This is a fine pencil signed and dated  lithograph by American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  This image created and printed in 1928, has an image size of 11X6 inches, printed on an ivory toned chine colle, adhered to a thicker supporting sheet.  This lithograph is numbered as 28/30.  Very fine condition apart from a line of toning in the border where an earlier window mat once lay.  Catalog as Davis L-30.

This is an original etching and aquatint image by French master Georges Rouault. The title of this work is: "Femme Affranchie A Quatorze Hevres Chante Midi" (Emancipated woman, who has lost her bearings) It was part of the Miserere series that Roualt created in 1923. This etching was published by Ambroise Vollard in an edition of 450 and has his Vollard watermark in the sheet. The image is plate signed G. Rouault,1923 lower left in the image. This etching was never hand signed by the artist. It appears in the Wofsy catalog as image number 124. The platemark measures 22X17 inches, The condition is excellent no tears, or stains. This etching is not framed.

This is an original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish.  The title is A Gale at Fecamp, it was created and printed in 1886.  The image including the remarques measures 13 3/4X15 3/4 inches.  It is hand signed in pencil and also has the artist's estate stamp in the lower left border.  This is Parrish's only etching with such complete remarques.  Showing the influence of French artist Felix Buhot.  The remarques revel Parrish's lively sense of humor, showing sketches of books with such titles as Philadelphia as a Summer Resort, Etching in Summer and other gems.  This is a very rare etching by Parrish, and is from a trip he took to Fecamp in 1884.

This is an original etching on toned chin collet by French artist Charles Meryon.  The title is: La Pompe Notre-Dame, Paris.  This etching was created in 1852.  The image measures 6 3/4X10 inches.  It is the VII/IX state, 7th of 9.  In the bottom margin is printed the title, "Public Par L'Artiste" in the lower left.  In the lower right is "Imp. A. Delatre, R.s. Jacques 171"  This image appears in the Delteil catalog as image number 31...

Original etching and drypoint by French artist of the Belle Epoque era, James Jacques Tissot.  The title is: L'Ete, this image was created and printed in 1878 in an edition of 100 unsigned proofs.  The image measures 14 3/4X8 3/8 inches.  Printed on a cream toned laid paper. The sitter is Kathleen "Kate" Newton (1854-1882), Tissot's Irish muse and mistress from 1871-82. Tissot portrayed her as a personification of summer in this etching. This image appears in the Wentworth catalog as image no. 43...A very fine impression in an archival picture frame.

This is an original etching by American artist James Whistler.  The title is: "La Marchande de Moutarde"  It was part of the series titled: "The French Set", published and printed in 1858.  This etching is signed lower left corner of the image, printed on a thin Japan type laid paper.  According to the Glascow catalog this is state V/V before the plates cancellation.  The image measures 6 1/4X3 1/2 inches.

This is one of the finest works by John Taylor Arms etching and aquatint.  It was created and printed in 1940 as image number 1 of his Scandinavian Series.  Pencil signed twice, dedicated to William Schaldach, lower border.  The image measures 7 9/16X13 9/16 inches.  It appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 346.  It is the third state of three from the edition of 330 impressions.  Printed by David Strang.  This image won 5 prizes between 1941-1948,  Incredible detail, nicely framed with archival materials.

This is a scarce original lithograph by American artist Rockwell Kent.  The title is: Foreboding, created and printed in 1926.  The edition of this image was only 50, appearing in the Jones catalog as image number 8, the image measures 11X5 3/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right border, printed on a Japanese paper.  This print was reproduced in Vanity Fair to illustrate the poem Elaine by Edna st. Vincent Millay.  A transfer lithograph on zink...A very early image by this well known artist and printmaker.

This is one of the best known works by French artist Jean Francois Millet, Le Départ pour le travail, Leaving for Work, created and printed in  1863.  The image printed on laid paper measures 15 1/4X12 1/8 inches.  This etching is signed, "J.F. Millet" lower left image.  This image is in the Delteil catalog as image number 19  ii/vii...the second state of 7.  The image is in good condition, there is old tape residue on the left border, not into the image.  Unobtrusive.  A fine impression, matted and framed with archival materials.

This is a fine image from the series, Churches of France by American artist John Taylor Arms, created and printed in 1921 in an over all edition of 75.  This pencil signed impression measures 4 7/8X8 1/8 inches.  Printed by Frederick Reynolds, this is an early proof prior to the edition which was printed in 1937.  Part of his Gargoyle series #3.  Framed with archival boards.  Fletcher catalog number 101.

A fine color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title Naiade, was taken as The Water Nymph, after a painting by Henner.  This image was created and printed in 1912.  It was published by Georges Petit in Paris in an edition of 200.  The image which is pencil signed measures 14 7/8X23 3/8 inches.  The publishers copyright information in the upper left corner just above the image.  "Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) was a brilliant printmaker who masted the aquatint technique. He was born in Paris, shortly after the Franco-Prussian War. He soon began studies at the Lycees Condorcet with Louis Legrand. In the early 1890’s Robbe enrolled at the Academie Julian and later, at the prestigious Ecole des Beaux- Arts. Here, he learned the intricacies of etching and aquatint from master etcher Eugene Delatre. He exhibited regularly at the Salons of Societe des Artistes Francais and in 1900, he received a bronze medal at the World’s Fair for his contribution to printmaking."
