This is an original etching by European old master artist Christian Dietricy (1712-1774) The title of this work is "Der Verlorene Sohn bei dem Pachter", it was created and printed in 1756. It is signed and dated in the plate lower left. The image measures 14 1/4X11 3/4 inches. Printed on a light weight laid type paper. Very good condition

This c. 1920 drypoint etching by the American artist, Warren Davis, measures 7 7/8 x 4 7/8 inches and is pencil signed on the lower right. Warren Davis studied at the Art Students League in New York and became known for his etchings of idealized female figures, many of which were used on the covers of Vanity Fair and Life magazines. Later in his career Davis exhibited in Europe and the United States including the Pennsylvania Academy and the Salmagundi Club.

This very fine impression with its deep rich tones measures 11 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches, c. 1930. Presented on cream wove paper, this original drypoint has wide margins with a sheet size of 15 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches and is pencil signed on the lower border. Born in England and educated in Cambridge, Gaskell studied art in London and Italy before studying under Sir Frank Short at the Royal College of Art.

Lithograph, image size 6 x 7 1/4 inches, 1858, plate signed and dated. William Morris Hunt was one of the earliest American lithographers. He was also a painter, and studied the French Barbizon style in Europe with Millet, a close friend. Hunt is widely credited with bringing the Barbizon style of painting back to the U.S.
