This is an original pencil signed,initialed? etching, European school 20th century. We are unable to read the name in the lower left border. The image is printed on a van gelder watermarked laid paper. The piece is dated 1935 and shows a man and boy in a wooden overlook of their town. The image measures 10X15 1/2 inches. Very fine condition.

Etching, image size 9 3/4 x 7 7/8 inches, pencil signed. Stevens was head of the Illustration Dept. at the Art Institute of Chicago from 1903 to 1911. He later served as vice president and then president of the Chicago Society of Etchers.
This lithograph by Hermine David measures 14 1/4 x 16 1/2 inches. Created in 1932, plate signed. David was known as one of the most outstanding women painters of the early 20th. century. Born and raised in Paris, at the age of 16 was accepted into the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, later going on to study at the Academy Julien. Equally well-known as a miniaturist and printmaker, she went on to have a long successful career as an artist and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1932.

This etching is plate initialed in the lower left. Plate measures 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches in a 10 1/2 x 12 1/2 inch black frame from Kennedy & Co, label on back. A well inked impression with plate toning.
Sir David Cameron was considered one of the greatest British etchers of the early 20th century. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland and began studying art at the Glasgow Art School before moving on to the Edinburgh School of Art. He was a member of the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers, the Royal Society of Painters in Water-Colours, and the Royal Scottish Academy. He was eventually knighted for his contribution to British art.
Etching, image size 8 1/2 x 11 7/8 inches, initialed in plate lower right, pencil signed lower right. This rich impression is in excellent condition with ample margins.
