This is a very rare original etching by French artist Charles Emile Jacque.  The title of this work is: "The Large Sheepfold (La Grande Bergerie)"  It was created and printed in 1859 with an image that measures 15 1/4X20 7/8 inches.  One of his largest etchings.  This is the second of two states with the edition of 129.  This image is made up of etching and drypoint and according to the catalog there is also some burin work in the image.  Printed on a wove type paper, this etching was originally sold by Kennedy gallery in New York.  There was a partial label on the back.  This etching is pencil signed lower right, "Ch Jacque".....

Etching, aquatint, and drypoint. IV/VII state. April 1st, 1908. Catalog: Arwas 363. Seven states. Plate signed in the upper right, pencil signed and numbered in the lower right. Collector's stamp in the lower right. Numbered 89 in an edition of 100. Image size measures 15 3/4 x 11 1/4 inches on 20 1/4 x 14 1/4 inch wove type paper. A dramatic, ethereal print with a wide tonal range, using light to convey that the dancer is about to go onstage.

This is one of the finest works by John Taylor Arms etching and aquatint.  It was created and printed in 1940 as image number 1 of his Scandinavian Series.  Pencil signed twice, dedicated to William Schaldach, lower border.  The image measures 7 9/16X13 9/16 inches.  It appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 346.  It is the third state of three from the edition of 330 impressions.  Printed by David Strang.  This image won 5 prizes between 1941-1948,  Incredible detail, nicely framed with archival materials.

This is a very fine painting of a man and his dog fishing. Oil on canvas, 18 x 26 inches, c. 1880, signed in the lower left corner,by Francois Vuagnat. Francois Vuagnat was born in Geneva in 1826. and died in 1910. He was a well known Artist and Photographer. Housed in a 19th century frame with gold liner. A fine scene with the man's trusty companion awaiting dinner.

This is an original color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  This image is titled: Maquillage, (making up)  It was created and printed in  1904.  It has the French publishers blindstamp lower right corner of the sheet.  This impression is hand signed in pencil lower right border.  The image measures 16 7/16X12 7/8 inches.  The image appears in the Perussaux catalog as image number 130.

This is a beautiful original etching with aquatint of a New Orleans alleyway. The image size is 12 1/4 x 10 3/8 inches, c. 1932, published by the Associated American Artists, with the original label, pencil signed. This image won an award from the Philadelphia Print Club and is included in the collection of the Library of Congress.
