Etching is 9 3/8 x 11 7/8 inches on 11 3/8 x 14 5/8 inch wove-type paper, printed by the artist. The work is pencil signed, c. 1910. The Church of St. Sophia, or "Sophienkirche", was the only gothic church in the whole city of Dresden. It was severely damaged in the Dresden bombing in 1945, and later destroyed completely in 1962 by the German Democratic Republic.
Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself. Menpes was taught etching by James McNeill Whistler and they lived together for some time.

Plate signed in the lower left. Signed in ink in the lower right. Edition of 30. Titled and editioned in ink near bottom edge of paper. Print is adhered to matboard. Plate measures 6 1/2 x 8 1/8 inches on 10 1/2 x 13 3/4 inch paper. A sharp, finely detailed etching with rich drypoint burr of daily life on a busy street in Covent Garden Market against the backdrop of St Paul’s Church portico.

This is an original engraving by British artist Stephen F. Gooden.  The title is "Diana", this engraving was created and printed in 1940.  The image measures 5 1/2X5 1/2 inches.  This engraving is pencil signed and dated lower right, It is editioned as 96/110.

This print was the presentation plate for the Print Club of Rochester, N.Y.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

This is an original etching by British artist Mortimer Menpes.  The title Shaded Entrance was created and printed circa 1920.  The image measures 11 7/8X8 3/8 inches.  hand signed in pencil with the imp after his name, this means he printed this proof himself.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper with the Menpese watermark.

A great image of a Spanish bull fight, this etching with drypoint measures 10 1/8 x 11 1/2 inches, published in 1929 in an edition of 100, pencil signed and numbered. Hermine David was born and raised in Paris and at the age of 16 was accepted into the Ecole Des Beaux Arts, later going on the study at the Academy Julien. She was a well known painter and printmaker and was very active in the thriving artist community in Paris in the early 20th century. She was married to fellow artist Jules Pascin for several years, but in 1920 the couple divorced and David set up her own studio in Montparnasse. She went on to have a long successful career as an artist and illustrator and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1932.
