Etching by the British artist, Norman Wilkinson, measuring 12 x 11 1/2 inches, pencil signed. Wilkinson, who usually worked in oils, watercolors and drypoint was primarily a marine painter, starting his artistic career on and around the ocean, schooling at the Southsea School of Art, traveling extensively throughout Europe and studying seascape painting with Louis Grier. He was a wartime camoufleur, credited with the invention of "Dazzel Painting", a type of camouflage that protected merchant ships during World War I.
