This pencil signed impression measures 4 7/8X8 1/8 inches. Printed by Frederick Reynolds, this is an early proof prior to the edition which was printed in 1937. Part of his Gargoyle series #3. This is one of the best known works by French artist Jean Francois Millet, Le Départ pour le travail, Leaving for Work, created and printed in 1863. The image printed on laid paper measures 15 1/4X12 1/8 inches. This etching is signed, "J.F. Millet" lower left image. This image is in the Delteil catalog as image number 19 ii/vii...the second state of 7. The image is in good condition, there is old tape residue on the left border, not into the image. Unobtrusive. A fine impression, matted and framed with archival materials.

Pencil signed twice, dedicated to William Schaldach, lower border. The image measures 7 9/16X13 9/16 inches. It appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 346. It is the third state of three from the edition of 330 impressions. Printed by David Strang. This image won 5 prizes between 1941-1948, Incredible detail, nicely framed with archival materials.

This etching is signed lower left corner of the image, printed on a thin Japan type laid paper. According to the Glascow catalog this is state V/V before the plates cancellation. This is a very fine impression of the well known Whistler etching, "The Rag Gatherers", created and printed in 1857, this etching is plate signed, on the right side of the image. The image measures 6X3 1/2 inches. It is the fifth state of 5 with the edition of the two children in the interior space. This etching came to us framed with the Kennedy Galleries label on the back. Excellent condition, apparently printed on an antique laid type paper.
This is a very scarce etching by Welsh artist Augustus John. The subject is a Portrait of Benjamin Evans, Benjamin Evans is thought to have been etched during Augustus John’s stay in Liverpool, where he taught at the University from 1901-1902. This image is pencil signed by the artist and has a platemark measuring 5X4 inches. Very richly printed some very light but even toning to the sheet. This etching was not published in a formal edition until issued by Knewstub through his Chenil Gallery in 1906, when 25 proofs were printed from this plate. The plate was then cancelled. This image appears in the CD catalog as image number 14.
This is a rare etching by British artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden. This etching and drypoint is titled: The Fisherman. It was created and printed in 1864. Hand signed in pencil which is quite rare for this image. Printed in a warm toned ink, the image measures 5 1/2X8 7/16 inches. This etching is the 5th state of 5 with extensive use of plate tone in the water and sky. Haden was an avid fisherman, and apart from doing etchings and being a well respected surgeon, he spent his spare time fishing across Britain. This etching is matted and framed.
This is a scarce original pencil signed etching by American artist Stephen Parrish. The title of this work is: "The Harbor of Cannes, 1886" . This image was created when in November of 1885 Parrish arrived in Cannes. "The harbor was so beautiful that it inspired this etching." (R.S.) The image measures 11 7/8X18 5/8, printed on a medium weight wove paper called "Imperial Japan". Excellent original condition, a rich warm tone to the sheet. This etching was last sold by Hermann Wunderlich, the label appeared on the back of the frame, this etching is currently matted, not framed. An excellent rich impression.. This image appears in the Schneider catalog as image number 116.
