This is a very rare original etching by French artist Charles Emile Jacque.  The title of this work is: "The Large Sheepfold (La Grande Bergerie)"  It was created and printed in 1859 with an image that measures 15 1/4X20 7/8 inches.  One of his largest etchings.  This is the second of two states with the edition of 129.  This image is made up of etching and drypoint and according to the catalog there is also some burin work in the image.  Printed on a wove type paper, this etching was originally sold by Kennedy gallery in New York.  There was a partial label on the back.  This etching is pencil signed lower right, "Ch Jacque".....

This is an original etching and aquatint by French artist Louis Legrand.  This etching is titled: "La Fille a sa tante", the girl with her aunt....This etching was created and printed in 1893 in an edition of 100.  It came from his series "Les Petites du Ballet", (the Little ones of Ballet).  The image measures 14 1/4X8 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper, pencil signed lower right border.  This image appears in the Arwas catalog as image number 77.

This is an original etching with drypoint and aquatint by French artist Felix Buhot.  The title is Le Retour des Artistes, The Return of the Artists, created and printed in 1877, This is the 4th state of 4 published by Cadart in Paris.  The image measures 8 1/8X12 1/2 inches.  Signed, titled and dated in the plate lower left.  Cataloged as Bourcard-Goodfriend 125.  Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet with "C.F." watermark.

This is an original etching by French impressionist Edgar Degas.  The title is, "AutoPortrait", Self Portrait.  It was created in 1857, this is the Forth state of 4, after the cancellation marks.  Delteil 1.

The image measures 9X5 3/8 inches.  printed on a cream wove type paper.  Unsigned as issued.

Published by the Gazette des Beaux-Arts in 1903 to illustrate the obituary article on Corot by Louis Gonse. Printed by A. Salmon in Paris, France in 1875. Plate signed in the lower left. The plate for this image was discovered by Felix Bracquemond in a box of nails in Corot's home.

This is one of the largest etched plates by French artist Maxime Lalanne, created in 1881, the title of this work is: Souvenir d'un Port Trouville, Calvados.  It is the second state of three with the sailboat remarque lower left and a rare pencil signature lower in the right hand border area.  The image measures 10X15 3/4 inches.  Richly printed on a medium weight simi parchment like paper.  The sheet size measures 15 3/4X19 1/2 inches.

This c. 1886 etching from the French artist, Paul Albert Besnard, measures 12 3/8 x 9 3/4 inches, pencil signed, editioned (three of 100), plate 10 of 12 from a series titled "La Femme", delteil 56(2nd state). Besnard studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and for the beginning of his artistic career concentrated on a very academic style of painting and composition, before adopting a more impressionistic approach of portraying light and color; later he went to England to study portraiture with Thomas Gainesborough and Joshua Reynolds.
