This is a fine award winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is: Reflections at Finchingfield, it was created and printed in  1938.  From his English Series, this is the 2nd state of two, printed by David Strang in an edition of 100 as inscribed on the etching lower left also hand signed and dated in pencil lower right border.  This large etching measures 7 1/16X17 1/8 inches.  Found in the Fletcher catalog as image number 311.  This image won prices from the Chicago Society of Etchers, the Lotus Club and Northwest Printmakers.  One of his finest images with the  incredible reflection found in the pond below the buildings. ( our photo doesnt show a fraction of the image on the right side, this etching is overall complete with good borders all around.

This is an original etching by American artist Otto Kuhler.  The title is: The Queen and the Slaves, created and printed in 1926.  This impression is pencil signed and inscribed as "Trial Proof, ltd edition 10 proofs", 1926.  The image measures 9 1/2 X13 1/4 inches.  Fine use of plate tone in the sea and sky.  The subject is the German liner, Breman.  The later published edition done in 1930 was of only 40 ...

This is one of the rarest etchings by American artist John Taylor Arms.  This color aquatint etching is titled: Still Waters, created and printed in 1919, in an edition of 7 impressions of this the 5th state.  It is hand signed by both the artist J.T.Arms and the printer Frederick Reynolds.  A beautiful rich impression, printed on a buff toned sheet.  The image measures 6 1/8X4 1/8 inches.  The sheet size measures 17X13 inches.  A very fine early effort by this important American print maker.  The image appears in the Fletcher catalog as image number 28.

This is a fine experimental etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is: Whitehall Court, created and printed in  1903 in an edition of 60.  The image measures 10 1/2X8 inches. This is a fine original lithograph by American artist William S. Schwartz.  The title is: Portrait of the Artist's Wife and her Grandfather.  THis lithograph was created and printed in 1929.  The image measures 21 1/4X16 5/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower left and also signed within the plate.  William S. Schwartz was born in Smorgon, Russia, February 23, 1896.  He immigrated to the USA at the age of 17 and became a successful artist moving to Chicago and studying at the Art Institute.

This is an original lithograph by American artist John S. deMartelly.  The image, Old Moon was created and printed in 1938 and sold by Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 10 1/8X13 3/4 inches.  One of his best regionalist images.  Much in the style of Thomas Hart Benton of whom the artist knew and worked with  while at the Kansas City Art Institiute in the 1930's and early 40's.  This lithograph is framed with the AAA label on the back.
