An excellent example of the artistry of the American printmaker, John Taylor Arms. This image measures 12 1/4 x 7 3/4 inches, pencil signed and dated 1925, from his Spanish Church Series #5, printed by Frederick Reynolds in an edition of 152, cat: Fletcher 164. John Taylor Arms was one of the foremost American printmakers of the 20th century, known for his exquisite compositions and exacting details which gave his etchings a very realistic, almost photographic appearance. He specialized in images of European architecture and cathedrals.

This is an impressive etching and drypoint by American artist William C. McNulty. The title is: "Demolishing the Century Theater, 1931" A great industrial study done in New York City. This etching has an image size of 9X11 1/4 inches. Pencil signed and titled. Done in an edition of 75 proofs.

This is a very fine original etching and drypoint by British artist Sir Francis Seymour Haden. The title of this work is "On the Test", state VI/VIII. This etching was created in 1859 and its subject is one of the famous Trout streams in Hampshire. The image measures 5 15/16X 8 15/16 inches, pencil signed lower right and also signed in the plate. This appears in the Schneiderman catalog as image number 24.

This is a fine aquatint etching by British artist Dame Laura Knight (1877-1970)  The subject is Pavlova in her role as a Grecian Dancer.  It was created and printed in 1923 in an edition of 55.   This etching is pencil signed and inscribed "print 2"..The image mesures 9 7/8X 6 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.

This is a rare early etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is Brasserie, Au Lion Rouge, created and printed in 1893 in an edition of only 40 impressions.  The image measures 6 1/4X8 1/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil and also signed by the printer Goulding.  This early image shows the influence that Whistler had on Pennell, in both the style and technique.  Nice use of plate tone within the image.  This image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 188.  A fine view of a Paris Brasserie.  This impression was last sold by Frederick Keppel and Co in New York. This is a fine large etching by French artist Alphonse Legros.  The title is; Le Retour du Bois (Return from the Woods), Created circa 1880's.  This was part of his series known as Death and the Wood cutter.  This pencil signed impression measures 9 1/4X14 inches.  Legros was a well known founder of the etching revival in France.  This is one of his largest compositions.  This image is in the collections of many museums through out the world.  The catalog listing is Bliss 565.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper with partial watermark.

The image measures 11 3/4X7 inches, hand signed in pencil lower border. The signature has the imp after the artists name meaning that he printed this one himself.
