The image measures 17 1/8X13 3/4 inches. A scarce image created in a very small edition. The only other example can be found in the Amon Carter Museum.

Albert Huie (1920-2010) was a seminal figure in the formation and development of a national Jamaican artistic identity, overcoming the hurdles of a colonial-based system of race and class distinctions to become the first native-born Jamaican artist to attain international renown and respect. Working primarily in the areas of landscape, portraiture, and figurative art, he established a multiple award-winning career that spanned seven decades and earned him the title of “the Father of Jamaican Painting.”
This early triptych by Gerard Audran of "The Triumph of David" is taken from the ceiling of the Sacchetti Palace in Rome. The image sizes are 21 1/4 x 13 3/4 inches with a sheet size of 21 3/4 x 16 1/4 inches, 23 3/4 x 12 3/8 inches with a sheet size of 24 3/4 x 16 1/4 inches and 21 3/8 x 13 5/8 inches with a sheet size of 22 x 16 1/4 inches, all on early laid paper. Created in 1668, after Charles LeBrun. The middle plate contains a paragraph in Latin by Girardus Andranus Gallus.

This is a fine intimate portrait of the artist's wife by French artist Albert Besnard (1849-1934) This image is hand signed and incribed in pencil lower border, the image measures 3 13/16X2 3/8 inches. "This intimate portrait presents the artist’s wife, Charlotte, in a private moment, eyes closed and head propped on a pillow. Besnard must have admired his wife’s profile. He depicted her from this angle, in both paintings and prints, no less than six time." This impression was in a show at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts, in a show titled "Images of Women: 19th Century French Prints."

Plate monogrammed in the bottom center. Numbered 227. Plate measures 12 5/8 x 15 inches on 18 1/2 x 19 1/2 inch wove type paper. An atmospheric print with lovely, muted colors. T. F. Simon was born in Bohemia, now the Czech Republic. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and traveled extensively throughout Europe, as well as Asia and the U.S. He lived in Paris from 1905-1913, then returned to Prague to teach at the Academy of Fine Arts. Simon was an exceptional painter and printmaker, and is best known for his atmospheric color etchings and aquatints.
