Drypoint etching C. 1927. Plate measures 6 7/8 x 9 on 9 x 12 1/4 inch watermarked David Strang paper. Catalog: Appleby 121. Edition of 100. Illustrated: Fine Prints of the Year, 1927. Numbered 63 out of 100 in the lower left in pencil, pencil signed in the lower right. Plate signed and dated in the lower right. A rich impression with drypoint burr.

"The Three Sisters" by Sir Francis Seymour Haden measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches, pencil signed, 1868, state VI/V, cat: Schneiderman-119. Sir Francis Seymour Haden was one of the most important British etchers of the 19th century, along with his brother in law James Whistler. In addition to being a highly regarded artist he was a successful surgeon, accomplished author and dedicated angler. He was a founder and the first president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and was knighted in 1894.

This is an original etching by Belgium artist Jules DeBruycker.  It is titled Ruelle Gand, it was created and printed in 1906.  Hand signed and titled in pencil, Le Ruelle.  The image measures 13 1/2X5 1/2 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  With a Van Gelder watermark.

This is a fine original hand colored etching by British artist Elyse Lord.  The title is: Fantasy in Blue, created and printed circa 1925.  This image is pencil signed and numbered as 39/75.  The image measures 13 3/4X10 1/4 inches.  Printed on a thin Japan type sheet.

Mezzotint engraving after John Hoppner, image size 21 1/2 x 18 inches, 1799, framed

This is a hand colored etching by French artist Auguste Louis Lepere.  The title in the plate is Sur La Seine,88.  Hand signed lower right in pencil.  The image measures 9 1/2X12 1/2 inches.  Printed on an "M.B.M." watermarked laid paper.  The upper border is 1/4 inches wide, just enough for proper presentation  A very rich inking and fine use of coloration after the etching was printed.  "It’s 1888 and Paris readies itself for the Exposition Universelle, a spectacular world’s fair staged the following year for the centennial of the French Revolution, which overthrew the monarchy in 1789. The centerpiece would be the Eiffel Tower, under construction on the far side of the River Seine" (Minneapolis Institute of Art)

This is a scarce etching with drypoint by French artist Auguste Lepere.  The title is Sous Bois, a la Rigonette (Vendee) This image was created and printed in an edition of only 35 prior to the plate being cut down for the later more common edition.  The image measures 7 3/4X10 1/2 inches.  The etching is hand signed in pencil and numbered as 7/35.  Printed on a thin antique laid paper.  This image appears in the Texier catalog as image number 386 ii/iii.

This is a fine original etching by British artist David Young Cameron. The subject and title is: Dinant, This etching was created and printed by the artist in 1907, hand signed in pencil, The image measures 7 15/16X13 15/16 inches.  Printed on a light weight laid type sheet.  This image appears in the Rinder catalog as image number 395.  The edition was thought to be less than 75.  A fine rich impression.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Charles Adams Platt.  The title of this work is "Pier at Larmor".  It was created and printed in 1885.  The image measrues 14 1/8X8 1/2 inches.  One of a series of Dutch etchings that he created during this period of travel in Europe.  This is included in the Platt catalog as image number P-55.  Framed.

This is a fine atmospheric etching by British artist Frank Short, the title is: The Old Chelsea Bridge and Church, by the RIver Thames, it was created and printed in  1884.  Hand signed in pencil the image measures 6 5/8X14 1/8 inches.  Printed in brown ink on a heavy weight wove type sheet.

This is a hand signed original etching by British artist James Mcbey.  This image is titled: California, San Luis Obispo, it was created and printed in 1941.  This impression is numbered as 38 from the edition of 48. "XXXVIII".  Very nice condition printed on a warm toned sheet, the image measures 6 1/2X14 1/8 inches.  In the Hardie catalog as image number 283.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Lawrence Kupferman.  The title of this work is:
"Victorian Carriage House". This etching was created and printed in 1939 and is editioned as 13/100.  The etching is signed and titled in the lower border, the image measures 9 3/4X11 5/8 inches.  

This is an original pencil signed color aquatint etching by Austrian artist Tavik F. Simon.  The title of this work is: Saint Nicholas Market in Staromestske Namesti, which was part of his  Prague series, created and printed in 1916.  The edition was 225 impressions.  Printed on a medium weight arches watermarked wove type paper. The image measures 12 5/8X15 1/2 inches.  Very fine condition.  This image appears in the Novak catalog as image number 268.
