This is an original color etching by American artist Dorsey Potter Tyson.  The title is Siamese Dancers, created and printed in 1928 in an edition of 100.  This impression is numbered as XXVIII.  It is also hand signed in pencil. The image measures 8X9 7/8 inches.  It came to us in the original frame from Casson Galleries in Boston.

This is an original pencil signed etching by British artist William Strang.  This self portrait was created and printed in 1910.  It is inscribed, 2nd state, 2 proofs.  The image measures 9 7/8X7 inches.  A fine rich impression, nice use of plate tone.  This is printed on a medium weight laid type paper.

This is a drypoint etching from February 1931. Edition of 100. Catalog: BPL 104. Pencil signed in the lower right, pencil numbered 35 out of 100 in the lower left. Plate measures 14 1/4 x 9 1/2 inches on 16 1/2 x 11 1/2 inch Rives watermarked wove paper. A well inked, exquisitely detailed etching. Samuel Chamberlain studied architecture at MIT, but interrupted his studies to serve in France during WWI. After the war, Chamberlain worked as an architectural draftsman in Boston before leaving the US to travel throughout France and Europe. During his time overseas, Chamberlain began sketching the countryside and architecture, eventually studying at the Royal College of Art in London. He became well known for his carefully rendered etchings and drypoints of both European and American buildings and cityscapes.

This 1941 etching by John Winkler measures 13 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches and is pencil signed. Winkler was originally from Austria coming to America at the age 16. After various jobs he impulsively enrolled in the San Francisco Art Institute and soon discovered his talent as an etcher. He became good friends with John Taylor Arms as well as Arthur Heintzelman. His works are found in many major museums throughout the US and Europe.

This is an original etching by Sporting artist William Schaldach, done circa 1925 the image is titled: The Hot Corner.  It is pencil signed and with edition of 75.  It has the "imp" after the artists name meaning that he printed this impression himself.  The image measures 12X8 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.

This 1927 etching by the American artist Roland Clark measures 7 7/8 x 9 3/4 inches, pencil signed and titled. Roland Clark studied at The Art Students League with J. Carroll Beckwith in New York. An avid outdoorsman he combined his love of the outdoors into his many paintings and etchings. Selected to do the 1938 Federal Duck Stamp Design, he also wrote and illustrated books about his hunting experiences.

This is a fine original line engraving by British artist Robert S. Austin.  The title is "Scythes Resting in a Tree",created and printed in 1928, the image measures 5X3 1/2 inches.  Pencil signed by the artist, numbered 11/75.  Robert Sargent Austin was a highly respected illustrator and engraver, sometimes regarded as the last great English engraver. He taught at the Royal College of Art and was eventually elected president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers.
