Prints

This is an original etching by British Bird Artist Winifred Austen.  This image of Phesants is titled: Out Foraging.  It is pencil signed and titled, with a stamp in the lower border stating, Made in England.  The image measures 7 1/2X 9 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  Austen's favorite subjects were wild animals and birds, and she received many commissions to illustrate magazines and books. Her etchings of animals and birds were popular in the 1940s and 1950s.

This is an original drypoint etching by French impressionist printmaker, Alphonse Legros.  This image is titled: Milkmaid of Boulogne, 3rd plate (Laitiere a Boulogne)  Created and printed circa 1890.  The image measures 5 7/8X8 7/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil, printed on a watermarked laid type sheet.  Richly printed.

This is a fine drypoint etching by British artist William Walcot 1874-1943.  The title is "The Mersey " it was created and printed in 1922 as part of his series titled "The Arteries of Great Britain.  The platemark  measures 4 3/4X13 inches.    Hand signed in pencil lower border.

This is an orignal etching by Scottish artist Ernest S. Lumsden.  The subject is: A Jodhpur Gate, part of his Indian series created and printed in 1913.  This pencil signed impression has an image size of 8 1/2X5 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  Printed with a brown toned ink

This is an original pencil signed wood engraving by American artist Asa Cheffetz.  The title of this work is Pastorale (Vermont)  It was originally sold by Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 4 1/2X 10 inches.  This image appears in the Springfield catalog as number 65.

This is a fine drypoint etching by British artist William Walcot 1874-1943.  The title is "The Thames " it was created and printed in 1922 as part of his series titled "The Arteries of Great Britain.  The platemark  measures 4 3/4X13 inches.    Hand signed in pencil lower border.

This is a fine pencil signed impression , an original  wood engraving created by American artist Asa Cheffetz.  This image, Titled: Vermont,  was created in 1941  and sold through  Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 6 1/4X10 inches.  It appears in the Springfield catalog as image number 59.

This 1927 etching by the American artist Roland Clark measures 7 7/8 x 9 3/4 inches, pencil signed and titled. Roland Clark studied at The Art Students League with J. Carroll Beckwith in New York. An avid outdoorsman he combined his love of the outdoors into his many paintings and etchings. Selected to do the 1938 Federal Duck Stamp Design, he also wrote and illustrated books about his hunting experiences.

Pencil and plate signed in bottom right. Plate size measures 6 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches on 11 1/2 x 9 1/4 wove type paper. Featured in Fine Prints of the Year in 1927.
