This original etching, after Jules Breton, by Lucien Dautrey measures 9 5/8 x 5 1/8 inches. Created in 1885, this image was Dautrey's first important plate exhibiting it at the Salon of 1885 for which he received an Honorable Mention. Dautrey was a distinguished pupil of Courtry and Felix Bracquemond and a member of the Society of French Artists. Remarque at bottom right of woman putting on coat.
