This is a very fine original pencil signed wood engraving by British artist George Soper. This winter scene of a Farmer feeding the cattle has an image size of 5X7 1/2 inches. Nicely framed with archival materials.

Etching from 1910. Catalog: Forster 30. Plate measures 12 1/4 x 8 3/4 inches on 15 x 11 inch laid type paper. Pencil signed in the lower right. This scene in London of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, otherwise known as the Brompton Oratory. The domed building in the background is the Royal College of Arts, where Anderson was studying at the time. Edition of 58. A finely detailed and well inked print with a rich drypoint burr.

Etching, image size 5 3/8 x 6 3/4 inches, c. 1935, from Warner's "Australia at Work" series of prints. Pencil titled and signed "G Marler", a pseudonym used by Warner in the 1930s.
This 1623 engraving by Ottavio Leoni measures 5 5/8 x 4 3/8 inches. It is a portrait bust of the artist Antonio Tempesta in a 12 sided frame. Bartsch 38. A collection seal is stamped on the back. Leoni did a series of 12 engraved portraits of fellow artists including Michelangelo, which is the only documented portrait of him by another artist.
This series of thirteen townscapes are images of shipping ports, market places, hotels, busy neighborhoods, historical buildings, castles, and cathedrals all surrounded by the element of water. They show the interplay and the importance of the waterways to the towns and their dependance on each other. Individual prints are titled in Dutch at the top center and were done c. 1660-1690.
