Hopper Emory was born in Baltimore, Maryland and had a successful career in banking before he turned exclusively to his artwork. He traveled to England where he studied at the Heatherly School of Art in London, then returned to Maryland where he became known for his delicately rendered architectural and maritime etchings.

Etching, image size 6 7/8 x 9 5/8 inches, c. 1915, pencil signed and titled. Kuehne was an American artist who studied in NYC before traveling extensively throughout Europe. After returning to the U.S. he became friends and colleagues with Edward Hopper, William Glackens and Charles Prendergast. From 1914-1917, Kuehne lived and worked in Spain creating many landscapes and architectural scenes, including this riverside vista of the city of Cuenca.
This etching by Albany E. Howorth measures 6 3/4 x 8 1/8 inches. It is pencil signed on the lower right margin with a blind stamp on the lower left. A richly inked image of farmers harvesting the summer crop of hay with the delicate, fine lines of Chichester Cathedral in the distance.

Published in 1780 by Juan Bautista Bru de Ramon, The series is titled: Peces de los mares de España. Fish of the Seas of Spain. The image measures 13 1/2X7 3/4 inches. On a full sheet of laid paper which measures 19X12 inches. Very fine condition. This impression is from the original period printing in the late 18th century.

This etching is a mystery to us. It is hand signed in pencil lower border but we cannot match the signature with any of our known artists. We think this is 20th century German School. This etching of a young boy, just finishing swimming with his friends. The etching measures 5X3 1/2 inches. Very nice condition printed with a sepia toned ink.
