This is a Japanese woodblock by Utagawa Yoshitora.  A view of a Procession of Daimyo with Mt Fuji in the background.  This 3 panel, triptych measures 14 1/5X28 1/4 inches. Has the censor seals and signature printed in the block.  This wood block is framed.  Yoshitora was a student of Kuniyoshi.  In 1873 he moved to Yokohama and changed his name to Hoshu.

This is a three panel, triptych by Japanese artist Utagawa Yoshitsuya, created and printed in 1863 This subject is: Lord Yoritomo and His Entourage Ford the Ôi River.  This piece has the Censor's seal: Boar 3 aratame, and is signed Ichieisai Yoshitsuya ga on each sheet.  The image measures 14 7/16X28 7/16 inches.  This wood block is currently framed.

This is a fine Japanese Triptych by well known 19th century artist Utagawa Sadahide.  The title is: The Daimyos Procession, created and printed circa 1850.  This three panel woodblock measures 14 1/2X28 3/4 inches.  It is framed.  Utagawa Sadahide ( , 1807 c.18781879), also known as Gountei Sadahide ( ), was a Japanese artist best known for his prints in the ukiyo-e style as a member of the Utagawa school. His prints covered a wide variety of genres; amongst his best known are his Yokohama-e pictures of foreigners in Yokohama in the 1860s, a period when he was a best-selling artist. He was a member of the Tokugawa shogunate's delegation to the International Exposition of 1867 in Paris.[1]

This is a fine very large hand colored engraving  by Charles Mottram after J. W. Hill. Published by Smith Brothers & Co., New York, in 1857, It is one of the loveliest views of Boston and its harbor, with the statehouse dome rising in the center background and the Bunker Hill Monument at far right. Printed by Mc Queen.  The image measures 24X38 1/2 inches, in an early frame which measures 35X47 inches.  It is inscribed as proof lower left border.  Very nice condition this impression is a period printing, not a late restrike.

This very large hand colored aquatint and engraving after the painting by J.W. Hill is a panoramic view of New York Harbor.  Created and printed in 1855, this image etched  by Charles Mottram measures an image size of 28 3/4X50 1/2 inches.  This is an early period printing, Published by F. and G. W. Smith 59 Beekman St. New York.. And Colnaghi London...  Printed by McQueen in London.  This image is copyrighted and titled lower border and inscribed as "Proof"..  This is an early state before the addition of engraved lines in the sky.  This impression is in incredible condition, rich color no damage to the sheet, no stains, it was framed in Boston by Richard Nichols, 22 Bromfield Street, Boston.  In the early frame which measures 37X58 inches.  This etching is not available for standard shipping because of its size and weight of the glass.

This is an original oil on canvas painting by Impressionist Dutch artist , Arnold Marc Gorter.  This work is signed lower right.  The canvas measures 22X30 inches, in very fine condition.  Gorter is best known for landscapes and won a gold medal at the Paris salon in 1910.  This is a great example of his impressionist style.

This is an original woodblock print by Dutch artist Hendrik Johan Melgers.  The subject workers protesting was created and printed circa 1935.  This impression is initialed in the lower right of the plate, no apparent pencil signature visible.  This impression came to us in a frame.  With description on the back.  THe image measures 6X4 1/8 inches, the frame measures 13 1/4X10 1/2 inches.  "Melgers was born in Groningen where he lived and worked until 1933. He studied at the Academy Minerva and from 1933 on he was in Amsterdam. He was skilled as a woodcut artist as well as a painter. Melgers is loosely associated with "de Ploeg"

This i an original oil on canvas painting by british artist Henry (of Hull) Moore This painting is titled in the frame, Sailing with the Wind and Tide,  on a label on the back it reads The  Mouth of the Medway.  The painting measures 15X30 inches and came to us in the original Gilt period frame which measures 24X38 inches.  The painting is in good bright condition, nicely framed and clearly signed in the lower left corner.  Moore is the well known British painter from Hull.  Known for his marine paintings and off shore scenes.
