Prints

This is an original etching by Belgium artist Jules DeBruycker.  It is titled Ruelle Gand, it was created and printed in 1906.  Hand signed and titled in pencil, Le Ruelle.  The image measures 13 1/2X5 1/2 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  With a Van Gelder watermark.

This is an original drypoint etching by French artist Alphonse Legros (1837-1911)  The title of this work is: La Ferme De Labbaye (farm at the monastery)  Created and printed circa 1880, this image measures 8 1/2X11 1/8 inches.  Hand signed and titled in pencil.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper with a partial watermark.

This is a fine atmospheric etching by British artist Frank Short, the title is: The Old Chelsea Bridge and Church, by the RIver Thames, it was created and printed in  1884.  Hand signed in pencil the image measures 6 5/8X14 1/8 inches.  Printed in brown ink on a heavy weight wove type sheet.

This is a large original pencil signed lithograph by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is: The Gun Factory, it was created and printed in 1917 as part of his series War Work in America.  The image measures 20 3/4X15 1/2 inches.  Printed on a laid type watermarked sheet.

This is a fine original lithograph by American artist Leonard Baskin.  This image taken from his series of Indian portraits that he created in 1972.  This image is titled: Chief Wets it, Assiniboine, This pencil signed and numbered impression, 24/160, measures an image of 32X22 on a sheet size of 35 1/2X25 inches.  Mint condition.  This image appears in the Baskin catalog as image number 609.

This is a rare early etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is Brasserie, Au Lion Rouge, created and printed in 1893 in an edition of only 40 impressions.  The image measures 6 1/4X8 1/8 inches.  Hand signed in pencil and also signed by the printer Goulding.  This early image shows the influence that Whistler had on Pennell, in both the style and technique.  Nice use of plate tone within the image.  This image appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 188.  A fine view of a Paris Brasserie.  This impression was last sold by Frederick Keppel and Co in New York. Label included.

"Victorian Carriage House". This etching was created and printed in 1939 and is editioned as 13/100.  The etching is signed and titled in the lower border, the image measures 9 3/4X11 5/8 inches.

"The Three Sisters" by Sir Francis Seymour Haden measures 5 1/2 x 8 1/4 inches, pencil signed, 1868, state VI/V, cat: Schneiderman-119. Sir Francis Seymour Haden was one of the most important British etchers of the 19th century, along with his brother in law James Whistler. In addition to being a highly regarded artist he was a successful surgeon, accomplished author and dedicated angler. He was a founder and the first president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and was knighted in 1894.

This is an original lithograph by American modernist artist Leonard Baskin.  This image from his important Indian series is titled: White Horse, it was created and printed in 1972.  This pencil signed impression is numbered as 80/160.  Mint condition, the image measures 33X25 inches on a sheet size of 35 1/2X25 inches.  This image appears in the Baskin catalog as image number 616.

Rare print with remarque from 1883, plate signed in the lower left. Catalog: Schneider 78. Edition of 30 with remarque. Plate measures 9 1/2 x 16 3/4 inches on 15 x 22 inch wove type paper. This is an atmospheric print with lovely plate tone.
