This 1921 original etching by the British artist, Ernest Lumsden, measures 14 3/8 x 8 1/2 inches, pencil signed, dated in the plate, 1921. Rotherhithe, meaning "a mariner's haven", in southeast London, was the first place that docks were constructed for the convenience of the Londoners.

This is a pencil signed rare etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title written in the artists hand is The Monument from the Palatine, Rome,1911.  This etching has an alternate titled of Old and New Rome, as what appears in the Wuerth catalog as image number 622.  the image measures 12 1/4X9 1/4 inches. The edition is noted as 40.  "The Palatine Hill, which relative to the seven hills of Rome is the centremost, is one of the most ancient parts of the city; it has been called "the first nucleus of the Roman Empire".  This  etching is framed.

This is a scarce etching by Scottish artist David Y. Cameron.  The title is: Robert Lee's Workshop, created and printed in 1905, this is the third state of three.  hand signed in pencil 1/4 inch borders on three sides, more on the bottom.  "This etching shows the boat-builers workshop at Tweedmouth.  The image measures 11 7/8X8 5/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet.  This image appears in the Rinder catalog as image number 375.

This is an original pencil signed etching and drypoint by American artist Otto Bacher 1856-1909.  The title is: The Bridge, Schleissheim,  created and printed in 1879.The image measures 5 1/8X7 7/8 inches.  The platemark measures 5 7/8X8 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.   A fine rich impression.  Some very light even toning to the sheet but very presentable as it now appears.

This is an etching and aquatint by French artist Louis Legrand.  The title is: On se Tourne, One Turn Around.  It was created and printed in 1893 from his series of 12 etchings titled: Les Petites du Ballet, published by Gustave Pellet in Paris.  The etching measures 14 1/2X8 1/2 inches.  The etching is titled in the plate and hand signed lower border in pencil.  This impression is from the final state of 5.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

This is a fine atmospheric etching by American artist Frank Benson.  The title is Rain Squall, it was created and printed in 1931.  We believe this to be an early state prior to the published state where the foreground ripples were removed,  The image measures 6 7/8X8 3/4 inches.  This etching appears in the Ordeman catalog as image number 317,  A beautiful work in nice condition.

This is a rare trial proof etching and sandpaper ground by American artist Kerr Eby.  The title is: Island Winter, this was created and printed in 1941.  This is the rare first state of the later published etching, the image measures 9 9/16X15 3/16.  This scene was most likely Connecticut or Maine.  It appears in the Giardina Catalog as image number 204.  The later published edition numbered 100.  This is a unique proof.

This is a beautiful color etching and aquatint by Austrian artist Luigi Kasimir.  The title is "Vienna Opera House". It was created and printed in 1922.  It is dated in the plate, "October 1922".  The image is large measuring 18 1/2X15 3/4 inches.  Very nice condition, a rich impression.

"Brixham Trawlers" by Arthur Briscoe measures 5 3/8 x 13 7/8 inches, published in 1929 in an edition of 75. Printed in sepia toned ink on Whatman laid paper, it is ink signed and numbered and also plate signed, dated and titled. Briscoe is known as the finest marine etcher of the 20th. century. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. He studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris. His name became internationally renowned when his works sold to the New York market.
