This is a rare early state etching by American artist Frank Benson.  The title is On Set Wings, created and printed in 1923.  This is a trial proof, hand signed in pencil, before the addition of the clouds and lines at the shore.  This image was later used as a frontispiece for Volume III of the Paff catalog.  The image measures 4 1/2X5 7/8 inches.  The image appears in the Ordeman catalog as image number 223.

The is a beautiful original wood engraving by American artist Leo Meissner.  The title is: Canyon Grandeur, Sabino Canyon, Arizona.  This pencil signed and titled image was created and printed in 1954.  This is numbered as 7/65.  The image measures 7 1/2X8 1/2 inches.  Beautiful condition.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.

This is a very richly inked original etching, image size 8 5/8 x 11 1/8 inches, 1939, published by the Print Club, Cleveland, Ohio, plate signed and dated, pencil signed. Edmund Blampied was a very successful artist and illustrator in early 20th century Britain. He illustrated many books and magazines, but is best known for his remarkable skills as a printmaker. He was an important figure in the 'British Etching Revival' of the early 20th century, and was elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers in 1920.

The scene is of the open Swing Bridge, from a vantage point of the High Level Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne. An atmospheric print with selectively wiped plate tone. Walcot was born in Russia, the son of a British father and Russian mother.

This c.1925 etching by William Meyerowitz measures 7 7/8 x 9 7/8 inches, plate and pencil signed, framed. Meyerowitz studied at the National Academy of Design in NY and is best known for his development of producing etchings in color. This is an original pencil signed and titled woodblock print by American artist Isac Friedlander. The title of this work is "Jeremiah", created and printed circa 1940. The image measures 6 3/4X5 7/8 inches. Isac Friedlander (1890-1968) was born in Latvia. In 1912 he went to Italy where he met and worked with Russian artist Maxim Gorky. During this period he also received his only art training, studying etching, drawing and relief printing at the Academy of Rome. In 1937, he emigrated to New York where he worked full time as an artist until his death. He is best known for his woodcuts and etchings, and many museums have works by the artist, including the Smithsonian, Bibliotheque Nationale, and the Brooklyn Museum.

This is an early engraving by Bernardus Baron (1696-1766) Portrait of "John, Count of Nassau-Siegen and family", This engraving was created and printed in 1761. It is after the painting by Van Dyck.
