Locked Ward Series, Bound Hands swing, 1965 , in an edition of 75. Printed on an Arches, wove type sheet. This  lithograph  measures 20X26 inches.  Hand signed lower border in pencil.  Mazur volunteered to conduct art therapy sessions at the Howard State Institute in Providence R.I. there he  created the series, "Closed Ward"  and later "The Locked Ward".  This is image number 10 from The Locked Ward Series.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Joseph Pennell.  The title is: The Lake Front, Chicago, created and printed in  1910.  This image measures 9 3/8X12 1/2 inches.  As was the style of Whistler Pennell cut off the borders of this etching and has a tab signature in pencil.  Nicely framed, fine condition, a combination of etching, aquatint and plate tone.  This image appears in the Kennedy catalog as image number 596.  The edition was only 50 impressions.

This is an early color woodblock print in triptych form by Utagawa Kunisada.  This image of Kubuki Figures was from the 1840's a time when he took the name of his teacher Toyokuni.  The signature is known as the Toshidama signature.  The image measures 13X26 1/4 (site size)  This woodblock is framed and matted.

A beautiful sun drenched scene by Walter MacEwen, etching, image size 10 x 5 7/8 inches, c. 1910, printed by Delatre, pencil signed. Born in Chicago, MacEwen traveled to Europe to study art, first in Munich with Frank Duveneck, then in Paris with Corman and Robert-Fleury. He stayed in Europe for many years with studios in both Paris and Holland, where he was also a founding member of the Egmond Artist Colony. Primarily a painter, MacEwen was known for his impressionistic portraits and genre scenes which were quite well received in both Europe and America. His etchings, which are quite scarce, are developed in a very painterly style, reflecting the delicate use of light and shadow of his paintings.

This is an original engraving by Paulus Pontius after the painting by Anthony Van Dyck. The image size is 9 5/8 x 6 3/4 inches, c. 1700s, inscribed "Ant. van Dyck pinxit" and "Paul. du pont sculpt" in the lower left margin, with the title and a phrase in Latin below the image, with the original Kennedy Gallery label. Stalbent was a Flemish landscape painter and friend of Anthony Van Dyck when this portrait was painted. This engraving is printed on a very early laid type paper with margins trimmed to approximately 1/4 inch outside of the plate mark, some foxing as is to be expected in a print of this age.

This is a remarkable original etching by William Lionel Wyllie, image size 9 1/4 x 14 inches, c. 1900, pencil signed, titled on the lower edge of the sheet. Wyllie was a well known marine painter and printmaker in early 20th century London. He studied at the Heatherley School of Fine Art, then at the age of 15 began his studies at the Royal Academy. At the age of 18, Wyllie won the Turner Gold Medal for his painting "Dawn After A Storm". He went on to have a long artistic career, specializing in paintings and etchings of the sea and the city of London. In this etching, Wyllie uses remarkably delicate lines and subtle tones to create an atmospheric image of fishing boats setting out to sea.

This is an early engraving by Bernardus Baron (1696-1766) Portrait of "John, Count of Nassau-Siegen and family", This engraving was created and printed in 1761. It is after the painting by Van Dyck. The engraving measures 20 1/2X18 1/2 inches, trimmed on the three sides, a tear in the upper right corner, not into the image area.Printed on a heavy weight laid type paper.

This atmospheric winter scene by the American artist, Ronau Woiceske measures 8 3/8 x 11 inches, pencil signed and titled. Woiceske was born in Bloomington Indiana and studied at the St Louis School of Fine Arts and at the Artist Colony in Woodstock, NY with Birge Harrison and John Carlson. He was involved in the WPA, and became known for his atmospheric etchings of snowy winter scenes. He was a member of the Philadelphia Print Club and the National Association of Etchers.
