This is an original oil on canvas painting by American artist Hamilton Hamilton (1847-1928).  This view of a River scene with Cows is signed and dated lower right "H.H. 1890" (this is the typical way that he signed his works.  The painting itself measures 22X36 inches in a gold frame.  Born in Oxford, England, he lived most of his life in the Eastern United States. He painted landscapes in New York, Connecticut, the American West, England, and France.  The painting is in very presentable condition, one small repair which is invisible to the eye.

This is an original lithograph by American artist Mabel Wellington Jack.  The title is Farm Lad, it was created for the WPA, The Federal Art Project N.Y.C...  Hand signed and titled in pencil, wpa stamp lower left.  The image measures 13X9 7/8 inches.  Printed on a medium weight Rives BFK wove type paper.  A very rich impression of this scarce image.  A New York born artist who was active on the NYC-WPA.. Her work is in many museums including the Smithsonian.

This is a pencil signed, titled and numbered etching by American modernist artist Leonard Baskin.  The title is Distension, created and printed in 1969.  The sheet size measures 38X24 inches.  Numbered 30/115.  Printed on a heavy weight wove type sheet.  The image is also embossed in the sheet.  The image appears in the Baskin catalog as image number 522.

This is an original drypoint etching by British artist William Russell Flint.  The title is Aragonese String Makers, it was created and printed in 1930.  It is editioned as impression number XXVII...  The image measures 9 1/2X14 3/4 inches.  Printed on an early laid type paper, R.G. 1820.  The image is signed in sepia ink lower right border.  A very rich inking with extensive use of plate tone in the sky and land.  A beautiful impression.  This image was reproduced  for  the book "Fine Prints of the Year, 1931, published by Malcolm Salaman

This is a fine pencil signed etching by American artist John Sloan.  This image is titled: Bandit's Cave, created and  printed in 1920 as a presentation print for the New Republic Portfolio of six etchings.  The image measures 7X5 inches, very nice condition.  Printed in an edition of 500.  Morse 195.

This is a very rare find.  The original pen and ink study for the well known etching, The Sussex by British artist James McBey.  This was one of his best known WWI works.  The subject is the Sinking of the Sussex a British Mail Boat that was torpedoed by a German Submarine in the English Channel.  The Bow was blown off and the wreck beached on the sands near Boulogne.  This pen and ink is hand signed and located as Boulogne and dated 1916.  McBey was on site and did many studies of this scene of destruction.  This is one of the most finished studies done before he created the well known etching.  The image measures 8 1/4X15 1/2 inches.  Drawn on a watermarked laid type sheet.  The drawing needs restoration, foxing marks throughout the sheet.

This is a fine award winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms.  The title is: Reflections at Finchingfield, it was created and printed in  1938.  From his English Series, this is the 2nd state of two, printed by David Strang in an edition of 100 as inscribed on the etching lower left also hand signed and dated in pencil lower right border.  This large etching measures 7 1/16X17 1/8 inches.  Found in the Fletcher catalog as image number 311.  This image won prices from the Chicago Society of Etchers, the Lotus Club and Northwest Printmakers.  One of his finest images with the  incredible reflection found in the pond below the buildings. ( our photo doesnt show a fraction of the image on the right side, this etching is overall complete with good borders all around.

This is a life time impression of the well known etching by Pierre Auguste Renoir, titled: Femme, Nue Couchee, Nude woman reclining facing right.  Created and printed in 1906, this impression done on a laid type sheet with the Fortuna watermark from the original printing.  The image measures 5 5/8X7 5/8 inches on a buff toned sheet.  Very fine condition.  Very light even toning over the image only, possibly as originally presented.  The image appears in the Melot catalog as image number R-14
