This is an original etching with aquatint and drypoint by French artist Louis Legrand.  The title is: L'Habillage (Dressing)   a back stage view done for  the La Petite Classe, a series of 12 images  that Legrand created as a portfolio in  1908.  The image measures 16 3/4X11 3/4 inches.  This was the 4th state of 5 which includes the Remarque of a racehorse, printed in an edition of 30.  Signed in pencil and numbered,14/30.  This image appears in the Arwas catalog as image number 369.  This etching printed on a buff toned sheet is archivally framed.  This image was used as the cover of the Arwas catalog.

This is a fine original color etching by Austrian artist Luigi Kasimir.  The subject is the Fulton Market, in  New York City, circa 1930.  The image measures 16 12X11 1/2 inches.  Printed in an edition of 100 signed impressions. "Kasimir was a pioneer in the coloured etching technique. He started with a sketch, usually in pastel, and then transferred the design on as many as four to six plates. He printed one after the other and applied the colour on the plate--all done by hand. Luigi Kasimir died in 1962."

This is a fine hand signed etching by American Artist Stephen Parrish. The title of this work is "Evening, Gloucester, 1883". The image measures 8 5/8X14 inches. This image appears in the Schneider catalog as image number 77. "To the right of the mast is the tower of the 1869 City Hall, still standing, Next to the right is the sharply pointed spire of the Baptist church, now gone. At the far right are the buildings of the Rocky Neck Marine Railways." Fine use of plate tone in the sky and sea.

This is a fine line engraving by British artist Stanley Anderson.  The title is The Old Tinker.  This pencil signed impression measures 7 X5 1/2  inches, created and printed in 1933.  This image appears in the Anderson Catalog as image number 208.  The tinker is depicted soldering a patch to a leaking kettle while his wife is about to renew the cane seat of an old chair.  Anderson often returned to the subject of the wanderer, of itinerants such as wayfarers pedlars and gypsies making their way through town.  This engraving is in a modern frame with archival materials.

He traveled down to Panama in 1912 to record the building of the Canal.  He created a series of images from that trip.  This image is titled Cranes at Miraflores Lock, Panama,  Printed in an edition of only 100.  This image measures 22 1/4X16 3/4 inches on a Fabiano watermarked, laid type paper.  Sheet size is 25 1/2X 20 1/2 inches.
