This is an original color aquatint etching by French artist Georges Rouault (1871-1958)  The title of this image is "Le Clown a la Grosse Caisse"(Clown with a Big Chest)  it was created and printed in 1930 in an edition of 270.  Unsigned as issued.  This image was part of his well known series titled "Cirque".  The image measures 12 1/8X8 1/4 inches, printed on a medium weight wove type paper. Rives, BFK.. This series was printed by Ambroise Vollard, in Paris.  This image appears in the Chapon-Rouault catalog as image number 200..Very fine condition, richly inked.  This etching is Nicely framed with linnen matting and a fine Gilt Moulding.

This is an original lithograph by Japanese American artist Yasuo Kuniyoshi.  It is titled The Cyclist.  It was created and printed in 1939 and originally sold through Associated American Artists in New York.  The image measures 12 1/2X8 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.  This lithograph is clearly signed in pencil lower right by the artist.  One of his images from his circus series.

This is a fine original color aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title of this work is: La Coquette.  It was created and printed circa 1905.  It is hand signed with pen and ink in the lower right border.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  The image measures 14 1/8X10 3/16 inches.  This image appears in the Merrill Chase catalog as image number 22.  A fine example of his "belle epoque" style of expression.  In a fine Foster Brothers gilt frame.

This is a very fine original hand colored aquatint etching by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is: La Tasse De The', it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 19 1/4X 14 3/4 inches.  Printed on a medium weight laid type paper, "Arches" watermark.  Very fine condition, hand signed in pencil in the lower right in the image.

This is a fine original etching  by American artist James Whistler.  The subject is: Steet at Saverne, it was created and printed in 1858.  This etching was part of the French Set, It is signed lower left,"Whistler", and also has the publishers name and address lower right edge of the sheet., "Imp, Delatre, Rue St. Jacques".  This image was created in 4 states, this one is 3/4.  The image measures 8 1/8X6 3/16 inches.  Printed on an antique laid type paper

This dramatic scene by Arthur Brisco measures 8 x 11 3/4 inches and is ink signed and numbered. Published in 1924 on laid paper, cat: Hurst-94, framed. Briscoe was one of the finest marine artists' of the 20th. century. He studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing. He owned his own three ton cutter which he used to sail around the Essex coast. Also crewing on a Polish ship, he sketched every aspect of life on the boat. Most of Briscoe's etchings show sailing ships and the men who sailed them. His beautifully etched images present an invaluable historical record of the workings of the last great commercial vessels.

THis is a fine color aquatint etching by French artist Louis Icart.  The title is: La robe de chine,( The Silk Robe) created and printed in  1926, published by Les Graveurs Modernes, 194 rue de Rivoli, Paris.  The image measures 15X18 1/4 inches.  Hand signed in pencil lower right also with the windmill blindstamp and copyright information in the upper left corner.  Very rich color remains, nice condition..This image appears in the Holland catalog as number 276.

This is a fine original etching by American artist John Sloan.  The title is: Sculpture in Washington Square, created and printed in  1925 in an edition of 100, printed with a blue toned ink.  Pencil signed titiled and numbered in the lower border.  Printed on a medium weight wove type sheet.  This image appears in the Sloan catalog as image number 218.  The title refers to the Garialdi statue by the Washington Arch in Washington Square.

This is an original drypoint etching by American artist Mary Cassatt.  The title is Denise holding her Child, created in 1905, this image is the first state of two, printed on an Ivory  laid type sheet.  The image measures 8X5 3/4 inches.  Unsigned as issued.  This image appears in the Breeskin catalog as image number 204.  

This is an original etching by Well known Belle Epoch artist Manuel Robbe (1872-1936) The title of this work is: "Parisienne", it was created and printed in 1906 in an edition of 200, published by Georges Petit. The image measures 19 1/2X13 1/2 inches. It is signed in pencil lower left within the image. A fine impression, previously sold by Merrill Chase galleries. Robbe studied at the Academie Julien and the Ecole des Beaux Artes in Paris.
With his hand application of color no two images look exactly the same, a very painterly technique.

This is a fine portrait study by British artist Gerald Brockhurst.  The subject is James McBey the well known British etcher.  This etching was created and printed in 1931 in an edition of 111.  This pencil signed impression measures an image size of 10 1/2X7 1/2 inches. This etching was Illustrated in  Fine Prints of the Year, 1931.  Cat. Fletcher 69.

This etching by Arthur Briscoe measures 7 7/8 x 11 7/8 inches. Ink signed and numbered on cream laid paper, 1924. Cat: Hurst-85. Framed. This is an original oil on canvas painting by well known New England Naive portrait artist Horace Bundy.  The painting measures 26X18 inches.  Housed in a modern frame.  As with most of his portraits this one is signed and identified on the back of the canvas.  This one was lined many years ago using a clear mylar so the writing can still be seen.  It looks to have a small repair in the upper left corner of the back ground.  "Horace Bundy---painter of portraits, genre, and animals---was born on July 22, 1814 in Hardwick, VT and died in 1883 in Concord, NH. He was basically a self-taught, itinerant artist who started his career decorating sleighs and then went on to painting portraits of northern New Englanders.

As many artists of his day, Bundy went to live and work in the new, thriving industrial city of Lowell, Massachusetts. In 1837, just one year after Lowell was incorporated as a city, Bundy married Louisa Lockwood. A few years after their marriage the Bundys moved to Springfield, VT and lived in a house built for them by Louisa's father. In 1842"

This is a fine early printing of the well known etching, Bibi Valentin by American artist James M Whistler.  This etching created in 1859  is impression II/II before the plate was damaged.  It came to us with the original Kappel label on the back.  A fine rich impression printed on a thin laid japan type paper.  Signed  and dated within the plate.  Glascow 34.

This is a fine original oil on canvas painting by American artist Daniel Strain 1847-1925.  This fine portrait of a Young Boy is signed upper left, and dated 1896.  The painting measures 18X16 inches.  Strain is best known for his portraits and landscape paintings.  One tiny spot of touchup, very minor.  Nicely housed in a gilt frame.
