Etching, image size 3 3/8 x 2 1/2", pencil signed

This is an original etching by British artist Edward Bouverie Hoyton (1900-1988)  The title is: St. Hubert's Chapel, it was created and printed circa 1930's.  The image measures 7 7/16X11 1/8 inches,   Pencil signed lower right border, printed on a medium weight buff toned laid type paper.  A very rich impression.  Edward Bouverie- Hoyton was in the same etching class as Paul Drury and Graham Sutherland. They remained friends throughout their lives. His early work came under the spell of Samuel Palmer but he was also influenced by the etchings of artists such as John Crome and John Sell Cotman of the Norwich School.

This is a large original etching by British artist William Lee-Hankey.  The title is: The Drapery Market, circa 1920-30's...The image is in nice condition, hand signed in pencil in the lower border, with the artists blind stamp lower left.  Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet with watermark.  The image measures 12x13 3/4 inches. (Our photo shows only a partial view of this etching)

Etching Dry-Point, image size 4 5/8 x 6 3/8 inches, Hardie 157, 1919, edition of 100, blind stamp, pencil signed.

This is an original etching by French artist Louis Legrand.  The title is: Le Bon Bedeau, (The Good Beadle)  It was created and printed in 1905 in an edition of 50.  The image measures 21 1/4X14 1/4 inches.  Pencil signed lower right with the red publishers stamp next to the signature.  Editioned as 8/40.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

Etching, image size 10 1/4 x 19 1/4 inches, pencil signed

This is an original early etching by French artist Edouard Henri Leon,  This image is titled: Les Canots de Pecher a Proscoff, Fishing Canoes in Proscoff.  Created and printed in 1926, hand signed in pencil the image measures 9X11 1/2 inches.  Printed on a heavy weight wove type sheet,  Although born and trained in Paris, Leon later worked in the USA and became a member of the Brooklyn Society of Etchers.

Etching, image size 11 5/8 x 5 7/8 inches, pencil signed

This is an original pencil signed and numbered lithograph by Dutch artist Maurice De Vlaminck.  The title is: Le Moulin de la Naze, created and printed in 1925.  This impression  is numbered as 35/35.  The image measures 7X10 1/2 inches.

Plate signed and dated 1920. Signed "Lumsden imp" indicating that the artist printed it himself. A skillfully done portrait with a rich drypoint burr. Plate measures 5 7/8 inches x 8 1/4 inches on 9 1/4 x 11 1/8 inch thin watermarked laid type paper. The subject is the Reverend Nathaniel Royds, the father-in-law of the artist.

This lovely image of a young girl by the English printmaker Mortimer Menpes measures 5 3/4 x 3 1/2 inches and is pencil signed with an "imp" after his name indicating he was the printer. Etching and drypoint, dated 1882 in the plate. Menpes attended the School of Art in London in 1878 and started exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1880. He became a major figure in the etching revival, producing more than seven hundred different etchings and drypoints, which he usually printed himself.

Etching, image size 4 1/2 x 6 7/8 inches, 1901, Dodgson 101, edition of about 90, plate signed l.l. "Muirhead Bone". the published edition of 90 proofs was not pencil signed.

This is an original engraving by British artist Stephen F. Gooden.  The title is "Diana", this engraving was created and printed in 1940.  The image measures 5 1/2X5 1/2 inches.  This engraving is pencil signed and dated lower right, It is editioned as 96/110.

This print was the presentation plate for the Print Club of Rochester, N.Y.  Printed on a medium weight wove type paper.

This is an original lithograph, pencil signed, by Czech artist Emil Orlik, 1870-1932.  The subject is a portrait study of The Poet Klabund, also known as Alfred Henschke.  The image measures 10 1/2X9 inches, printed on a thin wove type sheet.  Light toning to the sheet.
