This is an original hand colored etching by British artist Elyse Ashe Lord.  The title is: K'o Ssu, Swallows and Prunus,it was created and printed circa . 1925.  This etching is hand signed and titled in the lower border in sepia ink.  71/75.  The image measures 12 1/2X11 inches.  Printed on a wove type sheet.  

This is an original pencil signed etching with drypoint by British artist William Strang.  The subject is: a Portrait of Sir Charles Holroyd, No 2,  it was created and printed in 1909.  Holroyd was a fellow artist and printmaker.  The image measures 17 1/2X11 5/8 inches. Printed on a thin laid type sheet.  A beautiful impression.

Etching and drypoint from 1922. Pencil signed in the lower right. One of a series of five etchings from his series "The Arteries of Great Britain." Published by Dickins in 1922, in an edition of 425. Catalog: Dickins 73. Image measures 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches on 9 1/2 x 12 1/4 inch wove type paper. The scene is of the open Swing Bridge, from a vantage point of the High Level Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne. An atmospheric print with selectively wiped plate tone. Walcot was born in Russia, the son of a British father and Russian mother.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Kerr Eby.  The title is: Christmas Trees, created and printed in  1940 in an edition of 100.  The image measures 9 1/4X12 3/4 inches.  nicely framed.  This image appears in the Giardina catalog as image number 202.  The scene was most likely taken in Connecticut near his home.

This is an original Triptych color wood block print by Japanese artist Utagawa Kunisada.  This one image from his Nishiki-e series created and printed in 1860.  Each panel has the artists signature along with numerous stamps and seals.  The overall image measures 14 1/4X29 1/4 inches.  Nicely framed.

Drypoint etching from 1921, pencil signed in the lower right. Plate measures 9 7/8 x 6 7/8 inches on 12 3/8 x 7 7/8 watermarked laid paper. Catalog: Wuerth 770. Edition of 50. A well inked impression with plate toning. Pennell was an important American etcher, lithographer and illustrator. Good friends with James McNeill Whistler, he and his wife co-authored his biography. Pennell was known for his continued experimentation with technique and style, producing cityscapes, landscapes and marine scenes. He also printed many of his own images.

This is an original etching by French artist Alphonse Legros.  It is a portrait of British etcher Sir Charles Holroyd.  Created circa 1889.  This image has a plate size of 11X7 inches, printed on a medium weight laid type paper.  This etching is hand signed in pencil lower right corner of the border.  

"Sir Charles Holroyd was one of the most prolific etchers of his generation. He was taught by Alphonse Legros at the Slade School of Art and his work shows the considerable influence of his close friend William Strang. Sir Charles Holroyd was appointed first Keeper of the Tate Gallery and later Director of the National Gallery. These posts ensured that he did not need to depend upon printmaking for his livelihood; consequently, his etchings were not issued in formal editions. Impressions of his etchings were only taken when required and, as a result, many of his printed works are very scarce indeed.

Alphonse Legros was the single most influential European printmaker upon the development of the etching revival in England. Born in Dijon, Legros was persuaded to move to London by Whistler, whom he had met in Paris. Legros rapidly achieved recognition for his highly accomplished etchings and in 1875 was placed in charge of the etching class at the Royal College in South Kensington and the following year was made Professor of Fine Art at the influential Slade School. It was during his eighteen years in this post that Legros was to exert a formidable influence upon the direction of an entire generation of British printmakers." (  thank you, Mr. Campbell)

This is an original etching by American artist Thomas Moran.  The title of this work is: "A Tower of Cortes, Mexico", it was created and printed in 1883.  The image measures 12X9 3/4 inches.  Very rich impression, plate signed only.  This etching was printed on a medium weight buff toned wove type paper.

This is an original etching by American artist Peter Moran.  The title is: "Harvest at San Juan Pueblo", this etching was created and printed in 1883.  The image measures 6X12 1/4 inches.  This image is not pencil signed.  A scene of the Pueblo Indians of New Mexico Herding horses.

This is an original etching with aquatint by French artist Manuel Robbe.  The title is: Dans les Rochers,  created and printed in 1910.  The image measures 17 7/8X23 inches, printed on a medium weight laid type sheet with crown watermark.  Blind stamped lower left border.  A fine impressionistic view of an older couple watching the Fishing fleet set sail at sunrise.

This is an original pencil signed etching by American artist Harold Kerr Eby.  The title is: Lobster Fleet, created and printed in 1937.  A fine atmospheric study of a lone fisherman in the foggy morning bay.  This image measures 9 1/2X11 1/2 inches.  Printed in an edition of 100.
